The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tuesday, June 2 - Jack Gives John Jabot - Malcolm & Olivia Divorce - Victor & Ashley Close

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Tuesday, June 2, tease that viewers will see an encore episode that originally aired on September 17, 1999. In the episode, John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) will wonder what is going on, since it seems that the family dinner that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has arranged must entail something more. Jack will explain the whole thing, starting with how he regrets ever convincing John to take their family company public.

Jack will explain that this move is what resulted in John losing Jabot. Jack will go on, explaining that ever since Jabot was taken away, he’s wanted to get the company back for his father. Jack will say that when he took over Newman Enterprises, he wanted Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to know the pain of losing his beloved family business, and that it felt good to have the company, but that he wanted something else more.

Jack will tell his father that he went to Victor offering to give up his ownership of Newman Enterprises if Victor would return Jabot to the Abbott family. John will balk, saying that Victor would never do such a thing, but Jack will reveal that Victor went for it. An emotional John will be stunned as Jack tells him that Jabot once again belongs to him. Jack will want nothing more than to return to Jabot and help run the company with John and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson).

Meanwhile, Mackenzie “Mac” Browning (Ashley Bashioum) will be struggling with whether she should remain at the Chancellor mansion. Mac will get some advice from Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) about the matter, and she’ll explain about the problems she’s currently having with Jill Abbott (Jess Walton).

Paul will hear about how Jill accused Mac of stealing a lighter, but he’ll encourage Mac to keep her promise to Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper). Besides, Paul will say that if Mac leaves now, then Jill will win, so he’ll think that Mac should stand up for herself and remain at the mansion, at least until Katherine returns.

Next, Victoria Newman (Heather Tom) will have some difficulty understanding her mother’s actions. Victoria will see Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Brad Carlton (Don Diamont) dancing romantically in a restaurant. Victoria will talk with Nikki once Brad steps away to make a call, and she’ll fume at her mother for being there with Brad. Ultimately Victoria will leave upset, while Brad and Nikki continue to enjoy their evening.

Meanwhile, at Victor’s office, Ashley will arrive to thank Victor for allowing John to get Jabot back. Victor will be surprised to see Ashley, thinking that the Abbots should be off celebrating together. Ashley will indicate that although she and Victor have clashed a lot in the recent past, she enjoyed their interactions. Victor and Ashley will end on good terms, and Victor will intrigue Ashley as he leans in close and asks her to stay in touch in the future.

Over at their ranch house, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will be listening to someone auditioning to play at the coffeehouse when Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) arrives home. The man will leave, and Nick and Sharon will talk about their new venture in the coffeehouse, as well as Nick’s desire to keep their ownership of the place a secret from his folks. Sharon and Nick will also discuss how Victor is at the helm of Newman Enterprises again, and how they’ll later go up to the main house to celebrate that.

Next, Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) will arrive home and Nate Hastings (Bryant Jones) will happily run into his arms. While Nate is out of the room, Malcolm will talk with Olivia Winters (Tonya Lee Williams), wondering if she prepared Nate for the difficult news that they have to give him. Olivia will say that she couldn’t break Nate’s heart, and that they’ll have to gently tell him the news together.

When Nate returns to the room, Olivia and Malcolm will proceed to tell him about their decision to split up in a kid-friendly way. Olivia will start out by explaining about breaking promises, and how it’s difficult to break a promise to someone you care about. They’ll explain to Nate that they haven’t been able to resolve their problems, and Nate will ask Malcolm if they’ve really tried. Nate will surmise that Malcolm and Olivia are divorcing, and he’ll ask them if that’s the case.

Finally, Victoria will show up at Victor’s office, and she’ll immediately overhear Victor talking on the phone with Ramona Caceres (Gladys Jimenez). Victoria won’t like that, especially how Victor encouragers Ramona to attend a seminar on behalf of Newman Enterprises. Victoria will also discuss Nikki’s strange behavior with Victor, including how Nikki has been talking about having another baby.

Victor will indicate that the whole idea of Nikki’s is ridiculous, and Victoria will wonder if Victor responded the same way to Nikki when she bought the topic up. Victoria will ask Victor to rethink his positions, but Victor will refuse, and he’ll tell Victoria not to encourage Nikki’s midlife fantasy.
