Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Allie Horton (Lindsay Horton) is staying tight-lipped about the identity of her baby’s father, so we have to consider why. It’s possible the father is a character that DOOL fans would know. That means it’d be a character Allie’s loved ones would know, too. However, there’s another option to mull over – a different and much darker reason for Allie’s silence.
So far, Allie doesn’t think the father matters here and doesn’t want to reveal his name. We also know Allie was quite the partier before she became pregnant. Now Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) is ranting at Allie – and things are only going to get worse once Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) hits town.
This storyline is all about making Allie look like the screwup who can’t learn to be an adult.
What if there’s a bombshell coming that’ll completely change that story? Days has the prime setup for a secret that could ultimately make Allie the victim – someone who’s been unfairly blasted by her parents.
Under the circumstances, we certainly can’t dismiss the idea that Allie was raped. Maybe that’s why Allie’s so uneasy anytime the topic of the baby’s father comes up.
Days of Our Lives hasn’t been afraid to tackle dark storylines in the past. Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) was raped, JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) shot Theo Carver (Kyler Pettis) before nearly committing suicide, Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) drove drunk and killed Daniel Jonas (Shawn Christian), etc.
DOOL isn’t afraid to go to disturbing places if the story calls for it.
Lucas would undoubtedly feel horrible about being so hard on Allie if this pregnancy happened through no fault of her own. The same goes for Sami down the road. Lindsay Arnold is such an outstanding casting find – a true talent!
Arnold could undoubtedly deliver a gripping performance if there’s a deeper reason for Allie’s paternity secret.
Since there’s been so much emphasis on Allie as a party girl, it’s easy to imagine she might’ve been drugged and violated at one of those bashes. Again, Days isn’t afraid to go for the darkest options in some cases. Since it can’t be ruled out yet, we have to consider the possibility that Allie didn’t give her consent.
