General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) seems to be in for a huge shock. As GH viewers know, when the show last left off, Nina had just arrived in court, having seemingly decided to testify on behalf of Nelle Jerome (Chloe Lanier). As Nina walked into court, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) looked aghast as she realized that Nelle had apparently won Nina over. Of course, to Carly, Nina is just another person whom Nelle has manipulated.
And really, Carly is right – Nelle has subtly manipulated Nina with all her talk about motherhood, and Nelle’s done this not even knowing that she’s actually Nina’s daughter.
But something tells us that the truth about Nelle and Nina is going to come out fairly soon after GH episodes come back after the hiatus…but to whom? Well, we suspect that Nina will be the first to realize the connection.
Here’s how it could go down. Since Nelle’s been seen in court fiddling with her half of the heart pendant, it’s pretty likely that she’ll continue to do so. And if that’s the case, then there’s a good chance that Nina could see Nelle holding or even wearing the pendant while she’s on the stand.
That would make for an emotional scene, with Nina suddenly realizing that her daughter is sitting across the courtroom from her.
And that would surely cause Nina to give a glowing recommendation for Nelle’s character. Nina would alienate herself to Carly and the Corinthos family for sure, but she’d do so knowing full well that she was helping her daughter to maintain custody of Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos (Theo and Erik Olson).
To Nina, she’d be giving her daughter the gift of motherhood, and she’d probably keep it together on the stand.
But afterwards, Nina will have to decide what her next move will be. She’ll want to tell Nelle about her realization and the connection with the pendant halves, but perhaps Nina will need some time to absorb everything and do a little investigating first to be sure that Nelle is her daughter before disclosing everything to Nelle.
So, it could be some time before Nelle actually learns about the mother/daughter connection between herself and Nina. One can only imagine that Nina will want to tell Nelle the news in private, and it should be a pretty emotional scene, with Nina whipping out her half of the pendant and taking Nelle by complete surprise.
We’ll see how it all goes down once GH episodes return, but we think it’s probably pretty likely that Nina will have a big, emotional revelation when she spies that pendant on Nelle, and that Nelle will learn the news at some later point.
