The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Celeste Rosales (Eva LaRue) could have a great reason to make a Genoa City comeback. After Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) cancer battle wraps up, there’s a good chance Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will pop the question. Unless something major happens to derail Rey and Sharon’s romance, that’d be the logical next step for “Shey.”
Of course, getting engaged wouldn’t guarantee a marriage! In fact, this could become the path to a breakup if that’s how Y&R writers want to take things. The stress of wedding planning can take a toll – particularly if a meddling mother-in-law-to-be gets in the mix.
Eva LaRue recently won a Daytime Emmy for her fantastic work as Celeste on The Young and the Restless. LaRue’s got some buzz going thanks to her Outstanding Guest Performer in a Drama Series victory, so maybe Y&R will let Celeste return to GC. It’s the perfect time since Sharon and Rey may start planning their nuptials soon.
Celeste could easily come back to town hoping to pitch in. She might hear about Sharon overcoming her cancer battle and return with good intentions. Celeste might think she can take over as wedding planner so Sharon won’t have to worry about a thing.
Perhaps Celeste would argue that all Sharon would have to do is show up and be a beautiful bride.
However, Sharon’s an independent gal anyway and certainly wouldn’t like Rey’s mom making all the decisions. This could lead to some serious clashing and leave Rey caught in the middle.
If Sharon felt like Rey was siding with Celeste over her, you can bet that’d be an issue. If the problems started piling up, Sharon might call the whole thing off!
In other words, Celeste’s return could be great news for drama’s sake and terrible news for “Shey.” If The Young and the Restless writers decide they’re ready to split up Rey and Sharon, Hurricane Celeste might blow in to take care of it.
