Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that there’s some great news to report about the NBC soap’s return to production. According to Deadline, the cast has been notified about a restart date. Corday Productions got in touch with DOOL’s performers via email to fill them in. Days is planning to resume filming on September 1, so it’s good to know the end of this shutdown is hopefully in sight.
Of course, DOOL is the last to set a restart goal out of the four daytime dramas. The Bold and the Beautiful is already filming again while The Young and the Restless is hoping to get back up and running on July 13. As for General Hospital, they’re looking at mid-July for their own return to shooting – at least if all goes well.
Plans are tentative due to the rise of COVID-19 cases in California and the issues related to it, so all the soaps will have to keep an eye on the situation. However, it’s nice to hear some updates on Days of Our Lives and know things are moving in the right direction.
If Days indeed resumes production on September 1 as planned, they shouldn’t have to worry about running out of new episodes.
This news comes just after Daytime Confidential’s report about Days Co-Executive Producer Greg Meng getting fired. It’s clear that some changes are being made in preparation for the show’s return to filming. Days of Our Lives spoilers say there’ll also be some changes onscreen, so look for some shifts in Salem down the road.
While we look forward to the cast and crew getting back to work, we can enjoy plenty of summer shockers. Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) aka Stefan DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) storyline is heating up along with Allie Horton’s (Lindsay Arnold) baby drama.
Some big returns are looming – including Sami Brady’s (Alison Sweeney) long-awaited comeback as well as Eve Donovan’s (Kassie DePaiva).
