Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that the show will have to unravel a major mystery sooner or later. DOOL still hasn’t revealed the identity of Allie Horton’s (Lindsay Arnold) “baby daddy,” but that bomb will eventually drop. Let’s recap the clues Allie’s provided and consider a few other crucial hints.
Allie certainly hasn’t been keen on revealing who the father of her baby is, so she must have a good reason why. At one point, Allie suggested she was afraid of how everyone would react to the news – of what they might do. It sounds like Allie’s sitting on a name that Days fans would know.
Lucas Adams (Tripp Dalton) and Lindsay Arnold follow each other on Instagram, so that could be significant. Has Adams been back filming or does Arnold at least know his character is the father of her baby? There’s no guarantee Tripp is the “baby daddy,” but he seems like a great option under the circumstances.
Days spoilers say Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) will return to town during the week of July 27-31. That’ll put Kayla and Steve back DOOL just in time for Allie to give birth. We can assume Kayla will help with the delivery, so will she help bring Steve’s grandchild into the world?
Steve and Kayla are going to need a new storyline soon, so this sounds like a good one. Although Tripp is a nice guy, Allie may still be worried about the backlash he’d face for knocking her up. Maybe Tripp and Allie hit the sheets as a one-time deal – something that wasn’t meant to be more than a night of mutual comfort.
Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) and Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) aren’t automatically going to hate the father of Allie’s baby. That’s a given! Allie’s “baby daddy” doesn’t have to be some horrible man.
Her desire to keep things under wraps seems to be more about her parents’ reaction than anything else. Allie may feel like she’s protecting Tripp by leaving him out of this mess entirely.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Allie’s bundle of joy will be here soon enough, so that should rev up the pressure for her to come clean. Could the biological father be Tripp? Will Steve ultimately find out he’s a grandpa to Allie’s kid? If so, that’d be a fantastic curveball for Steve and Kayla down the road.
