Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) will struggle with some complicated feelings for Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering). DOOL fans know Hope and Rafe really started reconnecting after David Ridgeway’s (Kyler Ends) kidnapping.
Hope also supported Rafe through his custody battle fears and was there for him when he was forced to give David up.
Once some warm moments bring Hope and Rafe even closer, it’ll leave Hope wondering what she should do. During the week of August 17-21, Hope’s feelings for Rafe should strengthen.
Rafe will manage to come to Hope’s rescue somehow, so she’ll appreciate him having her back. It’ll feel like old times and perhaps make Hope wonder if a reunion’s possible.
Of course, Hope should battle doubts for a few crucial reasons. For starters, Rafe hurt Hope deeply when he slept with Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) and lied about it. The trust between Hope and Rafe was shattered, so their relationship never fully recovered from that.
Rafe and Hope also went through a painful divorce, so that’s another reason Hope should worry about reuniting. If they didn’t work in the past, Hope may wonder why they’d work this time.
Furthermore, Hope may not be so sure Rafe’s feeling what she’s feeling. Does Rafe want to be more than friends?
There’ll be a lot to mull over – too much for one confused character! Days of Our Lives spoilers say that’s why Hope will unload her romantic drama on Jennifer Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) and Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans).
Hope couldn’t have picked two better people to listen. Kayla and Jennifer are both back with their old flames after fighting for true love.
There’s a good chance Kayla and Jennifer will advise Hope to do the same – at least if that’s what’ll make her happy.
Reunions can indeed end in disaster, but they can also be wonderful between people with a real connection – ones who have grown and learned from their mistakes. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Hope will have to figure out if she falls in that category with Rafe.
Sadly, Hope’s journey back to “Rope” love will come to an abrupt end. Even if Hope decides she still wants a future with Rafe, they’re going to be forced apart. Some Days viewers seem to have the wrong idea about the timing of some exits here.
Hope and Rafe are NOT leaving together. This isn’t some happily ever after scenario.
Rafe’s set to leave around the beginning of September, but Hope will appear well into October. We also know Alfonso didn’t film an exit before the shutdown and won’t be back to film more scenes.
It’s possible Hope will join Rafe wherever he might be, but it’d have to be an explanation another character shares – and nothing like that’s been filmed yet.
Bottom line, when Rafe leaves in September, Hope won’t be going with him. Anything that might happen for “Rope” would have to be a rewrite that comes later. No matter how Rafe’s exit plays out, Hope’s being set up for some heartbreak.
