Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that it might be time for the show to flip the script when it comes to Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) and Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer). DOOL fans know Xander’s terribly worried that he’s going to blow his last shot with Sarah.
Xander doesn’t feel worthy of Sarah’s love and clearly has her up on quite a pedestal – one that Sarah could easily take a hard fall from!
Will Days let Sarah screw things up this time around? That’d be an interesting way to take Xander and Sarah’s next chapter. Of course, Sarah and Xander are a popular couple, but the only thing that’ll keep them popular is consistent drama and airtime.
They would fade off screen without some mistakes and other shockers to keep things moving along. Drama-free relationships on soaps rarely ever happen.
However, Xander may be right about this being his last chance. No one wants to see Xander bungle this again with some big betrayal, but what about a betrayal for Sarah? Should Xander’s love for Sarah be put to the test?
Days of Our Lives let Sarah and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) carry on a pretend romance to rile Xander up, but that was never real. Sarah was also single and free to do whatever she wanted.
Even if it had been a genuine romance, it’s not like Sarah had any obligation to stay loyal to Xander at the time.
Now that Sarah and Xander are back together, things have changed. Xander certainly expects loyalty, so what happens if Sarah goes astray? Days of Our Lives spoilers say Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) will return starting August 18.
Xander will immediately feel threatened by Philip’s presence, so trouble could be brewing here.
Although Xander’s fears should initially be about Titan and who’ll be running it, there’ll surely be a place for Sarah in this storyline. Sarah may step in and try to calm the conflict between these dueling Kiriakis family members. That may not go well since Xander will feel like Philip’s swooping in and taking over.
What happens if Sarah lands in bed with Philip after a fight with Xander? Sarah’s relationship with Xander started out as a hookup, so it wouldn’t be out of character for her. She’s been known to be a bit weak in that department.
It’d be nice to see Days flip it so Sarah’s the one begging for forgiveness. Sarah perhaps has too much power in this relationship due to the mistakes Xander’s made.
This would be a way to put Sarah back down on Xander’s level and make them true equals. Xander might see that Sarah’s not the saint he’s made her out to be in his head.
If Xander could get past a massive mistake of Sarah’s, it would only strengthen their love in the end. Do you think Sarah might find herself in Philip’s bed at some point? Will Sarah be the one pleading for another chance eventually?
