General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the truth about Trina Robinson’s (Sydney Mikayla) paternity seems poised to come out soon, but it may come from a surprising source. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) assured Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) that he had nothing to worry about. She made it clear that Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews) was Trina’s biological father, but does anyone really believe that?
Everything about Curtis and Trina’s connection points to a father-daughter scenario. The timing fits considering when Portia slept with Curtis, and Trina’s hatred for Curtis is obviously another huge tipoff.
That’s the classic soap setup when a parent and child are going to eventually learn the truth. It’s typical for there to be conflict – and there indeed is since Trina blames Curtis for Taggert’s death.
The question is: Who knows about Curtis being Trina’s bio dad? Portia seems like a given, and Taggert appeared to know as well. After Taggert got shot, the way he asked Curtis to look after Trina was telling. However, there could be another key secret-keeper here – and that’s Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).
Cyrus is the kind of guy who’s careful to not show his hand; he only plays the cards he needs in that moment. As a result, Cyrus may be saving a GH bomb he can drop later.
After Curtis threatened Cyrus at the Metro Court, he added that Cyrus shouldn’t even think about threatening him in return. Curtis insisted there was nothing Cyrus could use against him.
Cyrus argued that Curtis shouldn’t be so sure about that! Curtis may think he has the upper hand, but Cyrus may have a bio daughter card left to play. Will another kidnapping crisis play out? Taggert was willing to sacrifice himself for Trina, so Curtis may end up in a similar situation.
It’s easy to imagine Cyrus ordering Trina’s abduction again to lure Curtis into a trap. Cyrus would probably take great pleasure in revealing that he has Curtis’ daughter.
It’d bring the double blow of finding out Trina’s his child and finding out he’s in danger of losing her. Curtis saved Trina once and may have to do it once more – this time while knowing he’s her biological father.
Curtis clearly crossed a line when he threatened the person Cyrus sends money to on Wilson Avenue. Cyrus won’t hesitate to fight back if he has to. General Hospital spoilers point to Curtis’ growing interest in keeping Trina safe, so Cyrus should be the reason why.
