General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of August 17-21 tease that some heated conflict’s on the way in Port Charles. For starters, Ava Cassadine (Maura West) will face Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) accusations. Liz will feel like Ava’s sabotaging herself – perhaps as punishment for everything that went down with Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin).
Ava’s not going to appreciate Liz playing shrink, so she’ll undoubtedly fire back like only Ava can! However, Ava may calm down eventually and see that Liz is right. This could lead to Ava accepting her feelings for Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), but he’ll act rather indifferent to Ava in the week ahead.
There’ll also be an intriguing conversation for Elizabeth to overhear – one that she’ll talk to Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) about later.
After Franco and Liz compare notes, it looks like they’ll realize they’ve been played! Ava and Nikolas have been fueling the tension between Franco and Liz with their own selfish motives, but it seems “Friz” will finally catch on.
Over with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), they’ll clash as their wedding grows closer. There’s a good chance this will have something to with Finn’s father, Gregory Chase (James Read).
It appears Anna will want Finn to make amends and perhaps invite his dad to the nuptials, but Finn may not be keen on the idea.
Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) also have another fierce faceoff coming up, so there’ll be plenty of fighting going on next week.
As for Sam McCall (Lindsay Hartley), she’ll squeeze in some alone time with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) since that’s something she can easily do now. Thanks to the deal Sam made, she can see Jason whenever she likes.
Jason wasn’t pleased about Sam trusting Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and giving away the voting proxy Valentin needed, but “JaSam” will hopefully move past their latest issues soon.
As for Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor), Sam will witness something that changes her perception of him. It’ll become clear to Sam that maybe Brando has a softer side she hasn’t been willing to acknowledge.
Over with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Briana Lane), she’ll bump into Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson) and will most likely unload all her family frustrations. Ned views Brook Lynn as a traitor, but she feels like he turned her away time and time again.
Brook Lynn finally had to figure out how to help herself – even if that meant helping Valentin in the process.
Later, Brook Lynn will get caught up in the moment, so that could mean getting too close to Dustin for comfort – at least from Lulu Spencer’s (Emme Rylan) perspective.
Of course, Lulu may not be in the loop on Brook Lynn and Dustin’s bonding at that point, but something could be happening between Brook Lynn and “Dusty.” Ties between former flames can sometimes lead to trouble!
Brook Lynn will also put herself in danger somehow next week, so we’ll see if Dustin comes to her rescue. Next, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) will encounter Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) before struggling over Willow Corinthos’ (Katelyn MacMullen) outing with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).
Seeing Michael and Willow will be brutal for Chase and perhaps Sasha, too!
Elsewhere, General Hospital spoilers say Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will battle doubts, so we’ll see if that’s about Brando or something else.
Sonny may not believe Brando’s telling him the whole story – which is true since Brando indeed left out the part about whatever Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) wanted to speak privately about.
As for Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), she’ll connect with her brother’s new wife. Josslyn was pleased with Michael’s decision to marry Willow, but she’ll be even more pleased soon. Willow will impress Joss as they grow closer in some upcoming scenes.
In the meantime, Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) will receive a phone call – most likely from the jeweler, who may have some answers about that necklace and how to find out where the other half went. Valentin will also be on a mission to win Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) over, so we’ll see if he makes any progress.
Nina will end up joining forces with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), so that may involve Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) somehow. Speaking of Nelle, her kidnapping plot should move forward, but will Michael’s stunning discovery throw off her plans?
Michael’s probably going to find that tracker, so he’ll have to figure out his next move.
As for Julian Jerome (William deVry), he’ll need to figure out his next move as well. Will Julian divorce Nelle and accept that there could be deadly consequences from Sonny if his secrets come out?
Could Julian consider his own deadly action against Nelle? Decisions, decisions! There’ll be a lot for Julian to mull over, but he’ll be forced into a choice that changes his life.
Sasha’s also set to spiral due to her difficult emotions, so that’ll probably mean relying on drugs more and more. It sounds like some powerful episodes are in store, so we’ll give you updates on all the latest GH news.
