The Young and the Restless Spoilers Recap: Friday, August 28 - Lola Freaks Over Kyle & Summer’s News - Jack Longs For Love

The Young and the Restless spoilers recap for Friday, August 28, tease that Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) and Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) will enjoy breakfast in Theo’s room at the Grand Phoenix. Theo will wonder if Lola is doing ok or wants to talk about last night, and Lola will insist that she’s fine.

Meanwhile, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will be with Summer Newman (Hunter King) at Society, and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will overhear as Summer gets an alert about a house that she and Kyle are interested in.

Mariah will march up and insist that they shouldn’t be discussing such a thing on Lola’s turf. Summer will be ruffled by this.

Mariah will head to the kitchen, where Lola has just arrived. Through their conversation, Mariah will learn that Lola spent the night with Theo, and Mariah will make it her business.

Mariah will wonder if Lola is having second thoughts about it, and after some back and forth, Lola will say that it kind of feels like she’s playing a part and that she hopes that changes.

Back out in the dining room, Kyle and Summer will talk about Mariah’s beat down earlier. Kyle will think that Mariah is right and that they need to be sensitive about Lola, and he’ll also indicate that Lola’s decision to move on with Theo might be a sign that she’s not ok.

Later, Summer and Mariah will talk, and Summer will tell Mariah that she’s right and that she and Kyle will be discreet.

But then Lola will come along and overhear Summer say to Mariah that there will be “no more talk about house hunting.” Lola will be upset, and she’ll walk to the bar where Kyle will approach her.

Lola will bring up the house hunting, and Lola will be clearly upset by the news, although she’ll tell Kyle that it’s easier with the information out in the open.

At the Abbott mansion, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will come home after spending the night at the office, and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will kid him about his “walk of shame” home.

Jack will explain that he wasn’t with anyone; he was working. Jack and Traci will talk about the home movie they recently watched, and Jack will muse about finding balance in his life.

Later, Theo will be at the mansion, having visited with Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams). Jack will hear about Theo’s new position at Chancellor Communications, and Jack will be thrilled for Theo.

After some more musing on Jack’s part about the home movie and how finding love is a gift and more important than work, Theo will say there’s somewhere he needs to be, and he’ll rush out.

Later, Jack and Traci will talk some more, and Jack will be thinking about his life and what’s missing from it. Jack will say that he’s determined to be happy and that he needs to stop blaming Dina for his own mistakes.

Traci will think that it sounds like Jack doesn’t feel good about where he is in his life, and Jack will get emotional, saying that he’s more alone now than he ever wanted to be. “But something tells me the best is yet to come,” Jack will say.

Back at Society, Theo will arrive, and Mariah will tell him that Lola and Kyle are in the middle of an important discussion at the bar about Kyle and Summer’s house hunting. Theo will think it’s no big deal – after all, Kyle and Summer are practically living together already.

At the bar, Kyle will say that there will be no more walking on eggshells, and Lola will get miffed and walk over to Theo, who will be sitting in the couch area. After a brief conversation, Lola will get back to work.

Kyle will tell Mariah that he tried to apologize but Lola didn’t care, and Mariah will opine that Kyle was Lola’s first love and that Lola needs to know that it meant something to him as well.

Theo will follow Lola into the kitchen, but Lola won’t be in the mood to talk. Theo will push, and Lola will say that if this is about Kyle, then she doesn’t want to talk about it.

Theo will say that whatever Lola is feeling, he can take it, and if last night had more to do with rebounding than Lola first thought, then it’s ok. Lola will get irritated, and Theo will leave, saying that when she’s ready to talk, she knows where to find him.

In Chancellor Park, Summer and Kyle will talk more about house hunting, and Kyle will suggest that they get a real-estate agent. Summer will say that she has a better idea, and she’ll say that she’ll tell Kyle about it on their way to Jabot.

At the Grand Phoenix, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will arrive after being summoned by Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Phyllis will be thrilled because she’s got loads of bookings for the Grand Phoenix Escape Club.

After some flirting, Phyllis and Nick will go up to Phyllis’ room. Once there, Phyllis and Nick will talk about how much Nick believes in Phyllis, and then the topic of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will come up. Nick will look miserable at the mention of Victor’s name.

Phyllis will ask what Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has done now, and Nick will explain what’s going on with Adam and Victor, and how Adam has pulled another disappearing act.

Phyllis will say that’s what Adam does, and that Victor’s probably obsessed with it. Nick will affirm, and Phyllis will try to get Nick to see that his relationship with Victor can’t be repaired and that he needs to protect himself from his father.
