Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that an exciting return’s in the works. According to Soap Opera Digest, Tamara Braun will make a fall comeback as manipulative mob heiress Ava Vitali.
DOOL viewers will recall that Ava seemingly met a grim fate at Joey Johnson’s (James Lastovic) hands back in 2016. Joey smothered Ava in her hospital bed and ultimately went to prison for it, but it looks like Ava’s not so dead after all.
Of course, that makes sense considering the initials “A.V.” were seen on a warehouse door before the explosion. EJ DiMera (last played by James Scott) and a handful of other dead characters had doors there, but “A.V.” is the last remaining one to be addressed. That had to stand for Ava Vitali!
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Ava has a huge storyline coming up starting this fall. Naturally, that’ll tie in several characters and bring some hot drama.
Ava is Tripp Dalton’s (Lucas Adams) biological mother, so she’ll surely want to reach out to her son. Meanwhile, you can bet Ava will find a way to make Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) miserable as usual. Ava’s quite a schemer, so she’s always got a few tricks up her sleeve.
Fortunately, Ava’s survival means that Joey can presumably score his release from the slammer. Joey was mentioned right before Kayla and Justin Kiriakis’ (Wally Kurth) wedding, which was a bust. Even so, Joey wished his mom well by phone from Statesville, so Days was already putting his name back in the mix.
It seems likely that Joey will pop up again eventually – whether Lastovic returns or a Joey recast appears. Regardless, the big draw here is Ava and all her fun sneakiness. Ava can fill the villain void this fall and set up some wild curveballs for other Days characters to deal with. It’s wise to expect the unexpected whenever Ava’s around.
Ever since Braun exited General Hospital last year as Dr. Kim Nero, Ava fans have been hoping Braun would reprise her role on Days of Our Lives. Luckily, it’s indeed happening this autumn. Braun is a fantastic actress who brings a lot to the table, so stay tuned for Ava’s comeback.
