General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of September 7-11 tease that some crushing blows are ahead in Port Charles. Before we dive in, we have a programming note to pass along. Due to Labor Day on September 7, GH will air an encore of the episode that first aired on April 14. Just keep that in mind as you plan your holiday TV viewing!
Of course, General Hospital will resume the usual action with a brand-new episode on Tuesday, so let’s talk about what’ll happen from there. GH fans can expect Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) to cause serious trouble.
As the chairman of the hospital board, Cyrus will have far too much power. Unfortunately, Cyrus will abuse that power – and the result will mean plenty of firings and outrage.
Over with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), she’ll be in a state of disbelief. Could that have something to do with Neil Byrne’s (Joe Flanigan) autopsy report? Did Neil die from a simple heart attack or could a nefarious force have been at work?
An autopsy with inconclusive results – or one that indicates foul play – would certainly throw Alexis for a loop.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will reach out to Ava Cassadine (Maura West). Portia and Ava got off on the wrong foot, but Portia will hope to remedy that.
After having some time to process Ava’s bond with Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla), Portia may see that it’s been good for her grieving daughter. Portia will likely push for a clean slate, so Ava should gladly get on board.
Brick (Stephen A. Smith) will also be back on the scene, so look for him to pop up and share a drink with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). You can bet Brick will do his usual flirting, but it’s all in good fun! Brick might also talk to Carly about Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) deterioration.
They may acknowledge how rough Mike’s death is going to be on Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Mike had a wonderful day at the track, which brought a touching moment of gratitude. Sonny was deeply moved after Mike thanked him and referred to Sonny as his son. Sadly, that was probably the last good day Mike will ever have. Now it’s time for the final sad stretch, so Mike’s going to head downhill rapidly.
Next, Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) will accompany Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) on a little trip. It looks like Nina and Jax will be off to Manhattan!
Jax’s jeweler figured out a clue that pointed to an artisan there, so Nina may visit along with Jax. Naturally, Nina will want to take her necklace and see if she can get more answers.
While Nina tries to track down her biological daughter, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) will set up a meeting with Sonny. Since Ned’s struggling to reconnect with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Briana Lane), he might wonder if Sonny will talk to Brook Lynn and help him out.
Brook Lynn has a soft spot for Sonny and might listen to him, especially if Sonny reflects on the dwindling time he has left with Mike. This could lead to a conversation about the love between fathers and their children. We’ll see if Sonny can tug at Brook Lynn’s heartstrings in the coming GH episodes.
Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will also have a confession to make in the week ahead. Cameron Webber (William Lipton) will be taken aback when Joss admits she’s in the loop on the kiss between Cam and Trina. Since Cameron has feelings for both Trina and Joss, this is sure to bring some awkwardness.
Later, Joss will pay Mike a visit at Turning Woods. Mike’s a good listener in his current state, so Josslyn may open up about her teen issues. However, the real goal of Josslyn’s visit may be to say goodbye. Mike’s decline means his death is coming up soon, so Joss and Mike’s other loved ones will have to prepare.
Finally, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will return to Port Charles, so “The Britch” will be back for some fun drama. We’ll provide updates as other news emerges.
