The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers recap for Thursday, September 3, reveal that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) enjoyed their morning as the kids played outside in the garden.
Meanwhile, at Spencer Publications, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks), and Justin Barber (Aaron D. Spears) wondered where Liam was, as he was late for a meeting about a new business deal.
Bill called Liam, who apologized for being late and said that he was having a crazy morning with the kids. Hope told Liam that she could take Kelly Spencer (Colette and Avalon Gray) back over to Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) place. Liam was thankful, and he rushed to get ready to go into the office.
Back at Spencer, Bill, Justin, and Wyatt talked about the company’s new inclusion initiatives, then talk turned to Liam being late and having been in “full dad mode” when Bill talked to him on the phone.
Bill referenced the time he’s been spending with Will Spencer (Finnegan George) and how neither Katie Logan (Heather Tom) or Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) want anything to do with him.
At the cliff house, Steffy was fast asleep on the couch when Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) knocked on the door. Thomas walked in wondering if he woke Steffy up. Steffy lied, saying no, and Thomas asked where Kelly was, looking worried.
Back at the cabin, Liam was dressed and ready for work, and Steffy texted asking when he’d be dropping off Kelly. Liam texted back saying that Kelly would be there soon, and he headed off to work. Hope looked at some drawings made by the kids and smiled.
At the cliff house, Steffy flashed back to taking her last pain pill last night and chugging it down with a beer. While Thomas was in the kitchen, Steffy hid the empty beer bottle underneath a pillow on the couch.
Thomas learned that Kelly didn’t come home last night, and Steffy insisted that it wasn’t a big deal. “Steffy, you are Kelly’s mother, not Hope,” Thomas said.
Thomas then noted that Steffy had been alone for the past couple of nights and that it wasn’t good for her. Thomas pointed out that Steffy slept on the couch and that she was a mess and hadn’t come into the office.
Steffy fumed that she was recuperating, but Thomas said that it was worse than that. “It kills you that Liam is not in the home,” Thomas said.
Steffy protested, saying that she fell asleep watching TV last night and that Thomas was stressing her out and that he needed to leave. Thomas said he’d go, but that he wasn’t going to stop checking on her. Steffy urged Thomas to get out before Liam arrived, and he did.
At Spencer, Liam arrived and he, Wyatt, Justin, and Bill joked a bit about Liam being late. Bill said that he was proud of Liam for spending the morning with the kids.
Liam said that he and Steffy had shared custody and that it was going well. Talk turned to the business deal in progress, and Bill decided that Liam and Wyatt had put together a solid deal and that they should make it happen.
Liam said that Bill should stop by anytime to see the kids, and Bill reiterated that he was glad that Liam had a chance to be around Kelly and that it was allowing Steffy to heal. Liam noted that Steffy wasn’t a huge fan of being away from Kelly.
Back at the cliff house, Steffy was dressed when Hope arrived. Steffy was surprised to see Hope and asked where Liam and Kelly were. Hope revealed that Kelly was still at Brooke’s place, and Steffy immediately started getting agitated.
Hope explained that Kelly and Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) had just started an art project and that she didn’t want to tear Kelly away from it.
Steffy started getting really upset, ranting and pacing, saying that she hadn’t seen Kelly in days. Hope said that she was just trying to help, and Steffy lashed out, accusing Hope of trying to take Kelly away from her.
“That’s not your decision to make!” Steffy fumed, wincing in pain as she did. Hope said that Steffy was clearly in pain, and that Kelly could stay with her and Liam for as long as needed.
Steffy yelled that Kelly was HER daughter, not Hope’s, and Steffy totally went off on Hope. “Where is my daughter? I just want my little girl!” Steffy ranted. Hope watched with concern as Steffy had a mini-breakdown right there in front of her.
