General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, September 4, reveal that Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) walked into her office after speaking with Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) via phone to find Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) with a nice dinner setup waiting for her. Curtis was wearing a chef’s hat and pretending to be a waiter, then he left the room and returned to join Jordan for dinner.
During dinner, Curtis discussed his ongoing guilt over Taggert’s death, and Jordan felt guilty for keeping the secret about Taggert being alive from Curtis. Soon, Jordan’s office phone rang, and official business called her away from dinner. Curtis assumed that it was related to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).
At the Metro Court, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) met briefly with Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) came by the table, and Peter and Maxie took off.
Valentin thought that it seemed like Anna was too happy to see him, and Anna explained about her plan to go after Alex Devane (Finola Hughes).
Anna asked Valentin to help her bring Alex to justice, and Valentin balked. Anna explained that Alex wanted her to come to Berlin, and Valentin thought that Anna would be walking into a trap. Valentin urged Anna not to make a mistake here, and to act like a professional and set a trap of her own for Alex. “You set the trap, and then I’ll help you,” Valentin said.
At Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) garage, the burly guys beat up Brando and left him on the floor. Shortly after, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), and Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) rushed in.
Sam and Jason hauled Brando to the ER, while Spinelli stayed behind and tried to get the surveillance camera down. He was interrupted by Peter and Maxie, who arrived at the garage to get Peter’s car repaired.
Soon, Maxie had to go deal with some problem with Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring), and Peter stayed behind to wait for Brando to return. That left Peter with Spinelli, and as they talked, Spinelli mentioned that he heard something about Peter and Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin). Peter was smug, even when Spinelli said that Peter and Shiloh were involved overseas.
Then Spinelli said that Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) had confided that Peter arranged Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) capture in Afghanistan, and that Peter had been blackmailed about it by Shiloh. Peter was horrified, and Spinelli said that when Nelle was apprehended, she might shed more light on these matters.
Spinelli took off, and Peter talked to Maxie via phone, then he called Valentin. “Nelle Benson Jerome. You’ve had dealings with her,” Peter said to Valentin.
Valentin wondered what was going on, and Peter said that Nelle was running her mouth and that it could blow up his life. Spinelli watched and heard all of this from his laptop via the surveillance camera in the garage. “Gotcha,” Spinelli said to himself.
At the hospital, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) talked in Finn’s office. Alexis told Finn all about Neil Byrne’s (Joe Flanigan) passing and how it occurred. Finn provided comfort and urged Alexis to go to an AA meeting.
Soon, Jordan arrived looking for Alexis. Alexis and Jordan talked privately, and Jordan had a few questions about Neil’s behavior leading up to his death. Jordan then revealed that the ME said that Neil died of respiratory failure caused by a drug overdose.
In another area of the hospital, Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) arrived to see TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow). Molly soon learned that TJ was planning on doing batting practice with Brando later, which unnerved her.
The topic of Monica Quartermaine’s (Leslie Charleson) and Bobbie Spencer’s (Jacklyn Zeman) firings came up, and Molly was horrified to hear about this.
Cyrus soon ambled up behind Molly and TJ, and he extended his hand to TJ, who refused to shake it. TJ blustered on about Cyrus firing Monica and Bobbie, and Cyrus noted that TJ certainly seemed to be Jordan’s son. Curtis came off the elevators and overheard part of TJ’s tirade against Cyrus. Ultimately, TJ and Molly walked away from Cyrus.
A little while later, Curtis and Cyrus spoke briefly, and Curtis told Cyrus that it was a bad strategy to approach TJ. Cyrus gleefully noted that TJ worked for him now. “Sooner or later, everyone does,” Cyrus said. Cyrus took off, and Curtis said to himself that Cyrus was wrong about that.
In the ER, Portia Robinson (Brooke Kerr) examined Brando while Sam and Jason waited. Sam thought that Cyrus must have been behind Brando’s beating.
Portia soon walked up and said that Brando was going to be ok, and that he’d have to stay a couple days for observation. Sam and Jason were talking about why Brando may have been attacked when Cyrus walked up.
Cyrus asked how the patient was doing, and he needled Jason about checking himself out of the hospital against medical advice. Cyrus noted that Jason seemed fine, which is more than could be said for Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) father. “Such a shame,” Cyrus said, while Jason looked peeved.
Elsewhere, TJ and Molly were talking about TJ’s confrontation with Cyrus, when Curtis showed up with leftover food from his dinner with Jordan earlier. Curtis didn’t like hearing about TJ confronting Cyrus, and he cautioned TJ about getting in Cyrus’ face.
TJ didn’t think he should back down – after all, someone needed to fight for the hospital.
Next, Sam visited with Brando in the ER, and Brando didn’t recall anything from his attack that could help pinpoint who attacked him. Sam revealed that she and Jason found Brando in the garage and brought him to the hospital. “Great timing,” Brando said.
Jason entered, and Brando said that one of Cyrus’ henchmen paid him a visit earlier that day offering “assistance.”
Brando said that Jason and Sam could draw their own conclusions from that, and Jason said that he already had. “You didn’t have anything to do with my accident. It was all Cyrus,” Jason said confidently.
Finally, Anna arrived at the hospital to see Finn. Finn was surprised to see Anna, since he thought that Anna was off to Berlin. “I’ve made a decision,” Anna said. “I’ll find another way to deal with my sister.”
