The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) is a very forgiving person. But that doesn’t mean she’s naive to what Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) did, or could do again.
Hope wanted to become Douglas Forrester’s (Henry Samiri) adoptive mother and did. Her maternal instincts compelled her to care for Thomas’ son after Atkinson’s character abandoned all reason and with that his ability to properly care for his child.
Thomas’ initial parental instincts were validated by Hope’s desire to protect Douglas, even, ironically, including from his father. But that tense period in storyline time has passed, with better days seemingly having arrived.
Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Caroline Spencer’s Death Was The Trigger
As devoted B&B fans recall, Thomas allowed himself to go totally out of control starting last year. Caroline Spencer’s (Linsey Godfrey) death was a legitimate blow to his psyche and forced a move back from New York.
Thomas was actually acting responsibly by returning home with Douglas. He recognized that his son needed to be with family and that it was also best for himself to live in familiar, supportive surroundings following Caroline’s unexpected loss.
Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Hope Logan Isn’t Vindictive
It wasn’t vindictive of Hope to take Douglas upstairs during the ruse that was Thope’s wedding ceremony. She knew that Thomas was in love with her, not Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes), and caused him to reveal his true feelings by coming back downstairs in the preferred bride’s dress he designed.
It wasn’t ideal, but Hope practiced a form of tough concern when forcing Thomas to admit what he really thought about her in front of his family and Zoe. That was not a vindictive act, as it intended to break the mental loop Thomas was caught in and did.
With the above matter resolved and a period of cooling off playing out over the course of many months, Thomas has been behaving like a normal human being. Whether he remains on course is a question Hope naturally must keep in mind.
Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Liam Spencer’s Perspective Is Crucial
Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) doesn’t have a soft spot for Thomas like Hope does. Her view of Thomas isn’t based on love because she never felt that way. Instead, she has sympathy for Douglas’ father.
As long as Liam recognizes that Hope understands Thomas and sees him in a unique way because of the past connection they had and current mutual parenting link they have with Douglas, then all should be good.
However, daytime is about drama. Thomas doesn’t like Liam because of his connections with Hope and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Liam has become a step-father to Douglas. Those realities mean at least verbal battles will follow.
