General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Neil Byrne’s (Joe Flanigan) tense memorial service left fans curious about where one hot plot’s heading. GH fans know Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was distraught after she met Neil’s brother, Brendan Byrne (Josh Coxx), at the service.
Brendan launched a tirade about how he wished Neil had never met Alexis. Let’s look at the harsh words that followed.
“From what I can see, you caused Neil more sorrow than you did joy,” Brendan told Alexis on September 25. He added, “The one thing that kept him going after his daughter died was his practice and the possibility to help others, and you took that from him and you drove him into despair. You dismantled his life, and he took what was left of it and he threw it away on a drug overdose.”
Of course, there must be more to the story since we seriously doubt Neil was a drug addict. This was likely a case of murder for reasons that’ll be revealed down the road.
However, Brendan has to go on the facts that have been presented so far. He clearly loved his brother and feels like Alexis is the one who robbed Neil of his future.
Did Brendan let out all the rage he had bottled up or is he just getting started? Sometimes venting can help a person move on. Other times it can fuel anger and lead to a growing need for action. General Hospital spoilers say there could be trouble if Brendan resurfaces.
By the time Brendan threw Alexis out of the memorial service, he was obviously furious. It seems likely Brendan’s still off mourning this loss and stewing about how Alexis ruined everything. Grief can drive people to do terrible things, so we can’t rule out the idea that Brendan will go after Alexis for revenge.
Brendan was quite villainous-looking and certainly had enough fury to unleash. Since we don’t know what Brendan’s capable of, could he pop back up with a murder plot in mind?
Having Brendan seek deadly vengeance might be the perfect setup for what’s ahead. Just before it’s revealed that Neil wasn’t really a drug addict at all, Brendan might corner Alexis with a gun.
It wouldn’t be the first time Alexis was on the receiving end of a revenge scheme. Just look at what happened with Kendra Lennon (Michelle Argyris), who wrongfully blamed Alexis for the death of Kendra’s brother, Kiefer Bauer (Christian Alexander).
It’s possible Brendan will be the next vengeful sibling who’s out for blood.
