The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the week of October 19-23 tease that we’ll see some tough moments for several Genoa City residents. For starters, the Abbotts will struggle following the loss of Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams). There’ll be plenty of sadness within the family and maybe even a little tension, too.
It’s always a challenging time when a loved one passes away, but Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will come through for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Lauren will help Jack promote peace and a sense of unity for his family.
Y&R fans can expect Jack to do something special to honor his mother, so there’ll be a nice tribute to Dina in the week ahead.
Over with Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz), he’ll find himself facing questions as his past comes back to bite him. The Vegas inquiry will likely be what trips Chance up and leaves his future with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) in jeopardy.
Elena Dawson’s (Brytni Sarpy) future with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will also be in jeopardy thanks to a gala gone wrong! Devon will have Elena on his arm as he attends the businessperson of the year celebration.
Elena will be on edge the entire night, but she’ll try her best to plaster on a smile and support Devon as he gets ready to accept his award.
However, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will tip Devon off to trouble by bringing up his late-night clinic run-in with Elena and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic).
Devon will get hung up on the mention of the overdose patient, so he’ll confront Elena and hear the news about Jared (Michael Maclane).
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Devon will keep grilling Elena until she cracks under the pressure and eventually comes clean. Nate’s world will fall apart later, so it sounds like Devon will blast Elena for cheating and then turn his attention to the other half of this betrayal.
Devon will really be fuming, so Nate had better brace for a major meltdown.
As for Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind), she’ll continue to pull away from those closest to her. That’ll leave Nick and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) concerned, but Sharon will find time for some blissful wedding planning with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso).
Of course, that should really involve Sharon convincing herself this feels right while she tries to shake her feelings for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Speaking of Adam, he’ll finally reconvene with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).
Y&R fans can expect a strained conversation that brings Chelsea’s stern warning. Chelsea may make it clear that if this is going to work, they have to trust each other.
As for Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), she’ll have a crisis on her hands. If Devon makes a scene following Elena’s confession in a suite, that could cause problems. It’s easy to imagine Devon creating chaos by returning to the lobby and attacking Nate.
We wouldn’t be surprised if Devon took a swing at Nate under the circumstances, so Phyllis may have to get the night back on track.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Gloria Fisher Bardwell (Judith Chapman) will hit town again – and she’ll bring suspicions along with her. Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) won’t be so sure this visit is solely about Gloria meeting her new grandbaby – and Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) won’t be so sure either!
Next, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will try to navigate in tricky waters. Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will be in the same boat, so things could get complicated since an attraction seems to be developing here.
Finally, Summer Newman (Hunter King) will force Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) to face the harsh reality of a situation. From Summer’s perspective, she may argue that Kyle just isn’t over his ex.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Summer may wonder if Kyle will ever truly get past what he had with Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle). Although Summer knows Kyle loves her, she’ll have a problem with sharing Kyle’s heart.
Summer won’t be happy about how easy it is for Kyle and Lola to fall back into their old groove. There’s still a spark between Lola and Kyle, so their persistent chemistry will leave Summer deeply troubled.
