The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Tyler Johnson has already filmed his final episode as Theo Vanderway and will be making his on-air exit soon. It looks like Johnson will finish his run sometime in December, so we have to think about what’s in store for Theo’s last scenes.
Y&R fans know Theo’s suing for Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) entire estate, but it’s tough to imagine him winning that legal battle. Brittany Hodges (Lauren Woodland) is a great lawyer, but there’s only so much she can do.
Even if Theo manages to somehow win this lawsuit, it’s not like it’ll give him the satisfaction he’s craving.
Theo wanted success, love and acceptance in Genoa City, but none of that is really panning out. Money can’t make up for all Theo’s failures and dashed dreams. Of course, one of those dashed dreams involved a future with Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle).
Part of Theo wanted to stick it to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) by getting together with his ex-wife, but another part of Theo truly fell for Lola. They came from similar backgrounds and found a unique connection.
There was a time when Lola was the only person in GC who really made Theo feel “seen” and like he was worth something.
It’s safe to say some of Theo’s final scenes will be with Lola as a result. Although things didn’t work out between Lola and Theo, she played a huge role in his journey on Y&R. Theo wouldn’t leave without saying goodbye, so there should be a farewell coming up with Lola.
No matter the outcome of Theo’s lawsuit against the Abbotts, he’ll probably cross paths with Lola again or even seek her out. Theo will likely end up leaving town for his exit, so he’ll want to let Lola know. This could bring some tension, but it could bring some wistful moments, too.
Lola and Theo may find themselves wondering what might’ve been if they’d been able to get on the same page – or if they’d been in different places in their lives. It felt like there was blown potential between Theo and Lola, who could’ve had a good thing going if both of them had fully invested.
However, The Young and the Restless didn’t give Lola and Theo a fair shot – and that’s just the way it goes sometimes! It looks like Theo and Lola could battle a few regrets in the aftermath of Theo’s exit.
