The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, December 7, tease that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will decide to tackle a problem head-on. Lily doesn’t buy that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is guilty, so she won’t be happy about his arrest in Friday’s episode.
It’ll leave Lily determined to clear Billy’s name on Monday – and pinpoint exactly how Billy got into this mess in the first place.
After summoning Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) for a meeting, Lily will immediately get to the issue she has on her mind. As Lily makes her case, she’ll insist it just doesn’t make sense for Billy to be the shooter.
Lily will rattle off reasons why Billy didn’t pull the trigger. The biggest one may be Billy’s kids since it’s tough to believe he’d risk his family like this.
Lily may also wonder why Billy would go after Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) now. Billy has had ample opportunities to make his move, so why wait until he’s running a successful new media empire and doing great?
Even Billy’s personal life is going well since he just kicked off a romance with Lily. There’s just no reason for Billy to be making dangerous moves and going after Adam.
Once Lily spells out her doubts about Billy’s guilt, she’ll point out that the evidence seems manufactured and way too convenient. Lily will do her best to be respectful of Victor, but she’ll also be firm on her stance.
This will ultimately lead to Lily making a serious accusation. Lily will suspect Victor had something to do with framing Billy, so she’ll call him out and wonder if that’s true.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor will act offended that Lily would event suggest it. Victor will defend himself and argue that Billy doesn’t need any help making messes.
That may be true, but Lily still won’t be convinced that Victor didn’t have anything to do with this. Likewise, Victor won’t be convinced Billy is innocent! He’ll get that Lily believes in Billy, but he just won’t share that perspective – not after all the stunts Billy has pulled against Adam, including the recent expose.
It sounds like this conversation will only manage to rile Victor up, so Lily will have to consider alternative ways to help Billy. As for Jill Abbott (Jess Walton), she’ll have a tactic to use once Billy’s out on bail.
Y&R spoilers say Jill will want to load Billy up on the company jet. She apparently won’t think Billy can beat the charges, so she’ll want to get him out of the country.
Of course, Billy won’t want to escape and leave his whole life behind in Genoa City. That’s where his family is, including Johnny Abbott (Holden and Ryan Hare) and Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri). This would mean cutting Billy and Lily’s new relationship off before it ever really started, too.
Jill may argue that the kids can still sneak off to visit Billy wherever he lands. As for Billy’s romance, he wouldn’t have much of one behind bars either! Jill will get that this isn’t ideal, but she’ll believe it’s the best shot at helping Billy keep his freedom.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Jill will recruit Lily to talk some sense into Billy. She’ll think this is the only way Billy can avoid prison, so she’ll hope Lily can make that clear. However, Lily may not want to pile on more charges – not if there’s a chance she can get Billy off the hook.
Over with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), she should return home following tests at the hospital. Despite her recent collapse, Chelsea will still be eager to hit the road with Adam and get as far away from Genoa City as possible. Sadly, troubling news is ahead for Chelsea by the time Tuesday rolls around.
Although Chelsea will lie to Adam about the doctor’s updates, the truth will eventually come out – and it’ll mean a major health crisis for “Chadam” to tackle together.
