General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that there’s been a lot of talk lately about the dangerous lifestyle Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has through his connection to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) just dumped Jason to protect her children, which is understandable considering Danny Morgan (Porter Fasullo) was mere minutes away from getting killed in a mob-related explosion.
That bomb was meant for Jason, but his kids aren’t the only ones at risk. We can’t forget about the other attacks Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) orchestrated against the Corinthos family earlier this year, including ones that could’ve killed Sonny, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and more.
Michael was actually a target down on the docks – and there’s no guarantee he’ll stay safe as this Cyrus mayhem heats up. Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) could certainly be at risk, too.
Cyrus knows Sonny’s grandson is important to him. What’s to stop Cyrus from using the kid to his advantage – or worse, for payback down the road?
Even if Cyrus doesn’t directly target Wiley, there’s still the potential for danger. Cyrus didn’t care if kids might be in The Floating Rib when the bomb went off. All’s fair in love and war as far as Cyrus is concerned, so this is concerning.
This brings us to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and how she’ll feel about the situation eventually. GH fans know Nina fought for Michael to keep custody of Wiley. Nina wound up betraying Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) on the stand and supporting Michael’s push for custody instead.
However, Nina could change her tune once she finds out Nelle was her biological daughter, which makes Wiley her grandson. That’s especially true since Nina will inevitably blame Carly for Nelle’s death. Everything will blow up sooner or later, so we have to consider the headspace Nina will be in when it happens.
Nina will feel guilty for stabbing Nelle in the back and will wish she could somehow make things right. She’ll also be furious over the cliff fall cover-up once that shocker’s unleashed. Nina will want Carly to suffer over Nelle’s deadly fate.
As the Cyrus war spirals out of control, Nina could easily think Sam had the right idea. She might feel like Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight) didn’t adequately warn about the mob danger to Wiley during the custody battle.
Grandpa Sonny is a mob boss and that’s not going to change. There’s always going to be a threat to Wiley and the rest of Sonny’s family.
Dev Cerci aka “Dev Corbin” (Ashton Arbab) recently died due to his link to Sonny. Morgan Corinthos’ (Bryan Craig) death might be brought up by Nina, too. Nina could make a strong case for why Wiley needs to be kept away from the Corinthos clan entirely.
Nina might sue for custody of Wiley and have a shot at winning, particularly with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) pulling plenty of strings.
Part of Nina might feel like this is her chance to do right by Nelle. Another part of Nina might like the idea of getting a child do-over through Wiley. General Hospital spoilers say things are going to get messy after the whole truth about Nelle comes out.
Once Nina knows she’s Wiley’s grandmother, she’ll feel like she has a responsibility to protect him – especially since she’ll hold Carly responsible for Nelle’s demise. Will Nina follow Sam’s lead and try to keep Wiley safe? We’ll offer updates as other GH news becomes available.
