The Young and the Restless Spoilers Recap: Wednesday, December 16 - Adam Destroys Johnny, Delia Haunts Billy in Prison Nightmare

The Young and the Restless spoilers recap for Wednesday, December 16, tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will be in his cell at the jail, when he has a series of nightmares as he mulls over his legal predicament.

First, Billy will dream about having a visit from Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), during which Adam taunts him about how alike they are and about how he could have had a very different life.

Suddenly, Adam will open Billy’s jail call and invite Billy to leave. Billy will eye the security camera in his cell, then he’ll go through the door, but he’ll suddenly be transported to a time in the future.

Billy will appear at the Abbott mansion, where Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), and Lily Winters (Christal Khalil) are talking right after Billy has been convicted of attempted murder.

Billy will try to talk with the others, but they won’t be able to see or hear him. Amanda will recount some of the harrowing details of the case against Billy and how Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) characterized Billy as someone wholly focused on vengeance.

And Jack will tell Lily that no one would expect her to put her life on hold for Billy while he goes to jail.

From there, Billy will be magically transported to Crimson Lights, were Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will proceed to berate Billy for shooting Chance Chancellor (Justin Gaston) and lying to the police.

Abby will tell Billy that they are both rule-breakers, but that it was a phase that she grew out of, while it’s Billy’s way of life.

Abby will continue ranting about how Billy’s need for revenge against Adam had terrible consequences for others, including Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind).

Abby will tell Billy that someone always gets hurt, that that he’s incapable of living a simple, peaceful life. “You’re a chaos junkie, just like Adam!” Abby will fume.

Next, Billy will appear at Newman Enterprises, where Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is telling their kids about how their dad won’t be coming home again and how people accused Billy of something he didn’t do.

Victoria will tell the kids that their daddy did things in the past that he regrets, and that the judge and the jury didn’t trust him and thought he lied.

In the dream, Billy and Victoria will argue about the exposé on Adam, and Victoria will say that it was an addiction for Billy. Victoria will rant about how the kids are now gone because they’re scared of Billy, and Billy will look around and the kids will be nowhere to be seen.

Billy will try to approach Victoria, but he’ll be unable to walk and realize that his feet are shackled.

Suddenly, the kids will reappear and wave goodbye to Billy, as Billy calls out for them not to go. Billy’s shackles will disappear, and he’ll rush to the door of the CEO office, and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will be standing there.

Suddenly, Billy will be back in his cell and Victor will appear. Billy will fume that Victor set him up, and Victor will proceed to taunt Billy big time.

Victor will say that he knows that Billy didn’t shoot Chance, but that he did try to kill Adam last year in his car. Victor will tell Billy that he’s where he deserves to be, and that now he can’t have a toxic influence on his kids.

Victor will threaten to write an exposé on Billy, and he’ll needle Billy about how John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) thought that Jack was superior to him.

Next, Billy will appear in the Chancellor mansion, where his daughter Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono) is sitting. Billy will be thrilled to see his daughter, who will tell him that it’s sad how much he gets into trouble.

Billy will tell Delia that he’s going to fix this and that he’s innocent. Delia will tell Billy that if he had been living an honorable life, then no one would have assumed that he wanted to kill Adam.

Delia will even say that Billy can’t protect Johnny Abbott (Holden and Ryan Hare) and Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri) any more than he protected her. Billy will get emotional, saying that if he could take back any day, it would be that one.

Delia will tell Billy that she has to go, and that second chances don’t come every day. Billy won’t want Delia to go, but she’ll slowly fade away before his eyes.

Next, Billy will appear at Chancellor Communications, where Lily is on the phone fighting for Billy’s release from prison – several years after Billy was convicted.

Victoria will walk in to see Amanda for help with Johnny, who’s in legal trouble. Billy will gather from the conversation that someone’s targeting Johnny.

Suddenly, Billy will be transported to a police interrogation room, where an older version of Johnny will talk with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso). As it will turn out, Johnny will have been arrested for embezzling money from Jabot at the behest of his Uncle Adam.

Billy will be horrified as Johnny refuses to rat out Adam – the only person who cares about him. Rey will take Johnny back to his cell.

Billy will then appear in his jail cell again, where Adam will come for another visit to gloat about having Johnny under his thumb. Adam will say that all of the time that Billy is doing in jail has really broken Johnny’s spirit, and that there’s no chance that he’ll get out of jail with all the fights he’s gotten into.

Billy will ask Adam not to take another of his children from him, but Adam will refuse to let Johnny go.

Next, Billy will appear in Society wearing a tux and dining with Lily. Lily will say that she never gave up on Billy, and that Chancellor Communications covered his story, finding a new witness who exonerated him completely.

Amanda will appear, and Billy will thank her for all her help. Jack will also appear, saying that he’s sorry he let his doubts get the best of him.

At the bar, Victor will grump a few words about Billy being a disaster waiting to happen, while Victoria says that Johnny needs his father to come through for him.

Billy will thank Lily for her faith in him, and Lily will say that he can always count on her. Billy will then wake up for real in his jail cell, and he’ll say, “I know I can, and together we won’t let any of that happen.”
