The Young and the Restless spoilers recap for Wednesday, December 30, tease that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), and Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) will pick up snacks at Crimson Lights to take to Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) place for the wedding preparations.
Tessa will say that she picked up champagne plus sparkling cider for Faith.
“It’s just like the real thing,” Tessa will say. Faith will say, “Yeah, right,” under her breath. Meanwhile, over at Sharon’s house, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will have some good sibling time with Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) and Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle).
Arturo will share with Sharon and Rey that he is able to officiate their wedding, which they’ll love.
Later, the group will have a video chat with Celeste Rosales (Eva LaRue), and then Sharon and Celeste will have a one-on-one chat. Celeste will say that she admires Sharon for how she handled her cancer battle.
Rey will share with Arturo that the pain of what happened with Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez) has passed, and the brothers plus Lola will have more happy conversation.
Faith, Mariah, and Tessa will come to pamper the bride, and as they’re celebrating with champagne and sparkling cider, Tessa will get a call from her agent saying that she’s got a gig in New York tonight.
Tessa will leave after sharing some nice sentiments with Sharon, Mariah, and Faith. Meanwhile, Faith will be consumed with her phone.
As Mariah and Sharon leave for Society, Faith will get a text from Jordan (Madison Thompson) saying that she’s curious about the surprise that Faith mentioned yesterday, and that she can’t wait to party with her later. Faith will smile, then eyeball the open champagne across the room.
At the Grand Phoenix, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will establish that Phyllis won’t go to the wedding.
Over at Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) penthouse, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will video chat with Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), who will have questions about Chelsea’s operation in the morning. Chelsea will reassure Connor that everything will be ok.
At the Chancellor mansion, Adam will arrive to see Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz). Adam will thank Chance for saving his life, and he’ll say this is goodbye.
Chance will be curt with Adam, as will Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway). Abby will tell Adam to steer clear of Society tonight. Adam will insist that he has no plans on crashing Sharon’s wedding.
Adam will head over to Crimson Lights, where he’ll bump into Phyllis. Phyllis will needle Adam about whether he has a disaster planned for the wedding. Adam will say that he’s not that guy anymore, and Phyllis will balk at that.
Phyllis will jab Adam over whether Chelsea or Sharon is the one for him, and she’ll wonder if Chelsea knows that she’s his consolation prize.
At Society, Chance and Abby will greet Nick, and Rey and Arturo will follow shortly behind. Arturo will congratulate Abby and Chance on their marriage. Abby will appreciate that, and Arturo will say that he’s sorry that he hurt Abby so terribly, but both will agree that they’re where they’re supposed to be now.
Arturo will mention being a father, and that will hurt Abby, since she’s not pregnant yet.
After Arturo walks away, Chance will suggest that he and Abby bail on the wedding and go home to spend the evening together. Meanwhile, Nick will call Phyllis to say that he left Sharon and Rey’s wedding present at home.
Phyllis will agree to bring the gift by Society. Soon, Faith will enter looking beautiful, as will Mariah.
Sharon will walk in wearing her gown, and soon the wedding will start, with Faith and Mariah taking their places and Sharon walking in as a recording of Tessa’s original song plays.
Arturo will call the ceremony to order, just as Adam walks in the front door and sees the wedding taking place. No one will detect Adam as of yet.
Finally, back at Adam’s penthouse, Chelsea will be waiting for Adam to return. Chelsea will text Adam asking where he is and if he’s on his way.
