General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) will be ready to fight back – and he won’t be afraid to play dirty! GH fans know Cyrus blew his top over Florence Grey’s (Annie Abbott) kidnapping, so this war is about to get even worse.
Cyrus suggested Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) at least had some sense of honor and never would’ve stooped as low as holding a sick, elderly woman hostage.
Now Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is stuck taking responsibility for Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) mistake and trying to contain the mess. Unfortunately, Carly won’t be right about solving the problem. Carly feels like this Florence snatching will prevent Cyrus from striking more blows, but he’s about to strike some anyway.
General Hospital spoilers say the authorities will get back to Carly and the Corinthos clan at some point. Carly and her loved ones will be shaken by the news of Sonny’s ultimate fate. That sounds like there’ll be some proof that suggests Sonny is dead, but what if that proof is manufactured?
Cyrus might feel like he needs to eliminate any possible hope for Carly and Jason. He might sense that as long as Jason and Carly believe there’s a chance Sonny will return, it makes them stronger.
If Cyrus can take that hope away from Carly and Jason, he might have an advantage. It would throw the entire Corinthos family into a world of grief and leave them vulnerable.
We know Sonny isn’t dying, so why will the authorities be able to offer such a definitive statement on Sonny’s fate?
If Cyrus plants an injured and disfigured body, it’d be easy for him to use his GH connections to make it seem like Sonny. In reality, it could just be someone else of a similar height and build.
Since the police will rock Carly and the others with updates on Sonny – ones that seem awfully final – it does seem like they could end up mourning the loss.
Cyrus might set that in motion and watch with glee while the Corinthos clan focuses on grieving instead of the mob battle. It could give Cyrus a shot at making other bold moves while Jason and Carly are trying to cope.
