General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) could really use some huge leverage right about now. Cyrus believes Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is behind Florence Grey’s (Annie Abbott) snatching, but Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) was the mastermind of that plot.
However, what truly matters here is that Cyrus’ mother is missing and he’s desperate for a way to get her back.
Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) wasn’t worried about the possibility of a Corinthos getting kidnapped in retaliation. The way Jordan sees it, Cyrus would be risking harm to his mother if he did that.
We’re not so sure Jordan should count out the possibility of a Corinthos abduction since Cyrus is capable of anything. That’s especially true since he knows Florence isn’t likely to be hurt.
Laura Collins (Genie Francis) has assured Cyrus that Florence is fine – and he knows that deep down. Jason and Carly aren’t monsters who intend to murder an elderly woman if Cyrus steps out of line.
Nevertheless, there might be a third option besides doing nothing and a new kidnapping. What if Cyrus simply locates someone who’s missing – someone that Carly and Jason would very much like to be reunited with? Of course, we’re talking about Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
At the end of GH’s December 8 episode, Jason and Carly got emotional as they processed the news that Sonny seems to be dead. Moments later, unconscious Sonny could be seen facedown in the snow. Since Sonny is alive, he just needs to be found – and perhaps Cyrus could be the one to do that.
General Hospital spoilers hint that Sonny will battle amnesia, so he’ll have to ask around and start trying to find his way back to where he came from eventually. That could put Sonny in the path of someone connected to Cyrus. After all, Cyrus is the kind of guy who has eyes and ears everywhere.
Cyrus could easily be connected to someone who ultimately recognizes Sonny and gets in touch with him. That could leave Cyrus with a big decision to make.
Cyrus would love the chance to kill Sonny and be done with him, but he couldn’t pass up the opportunity for a trade. This would be Cyrus’ shot at getting his mother back in exchange for Sonny’s safe return home.
Naturally, Cyrus might try to renege on the deal and murder Sonny anyway. He might demand Florence’s return first and plot to kill Sonny once he gets it. Jason and Carly would have to be careful since Cyrus can’t be trusted.
