General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of January 18-22 tease that some shockers and shakeups are in store. First, let’s talk about Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and her scheme against Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn). That scheme will blow up thanks to mounting evidence that Tracy’s lying.
Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) will follow the clues to confirm that Tracy made up a bogus story. After Sam catches Tracy in a lie, she’ll know for sure the drunk-driving accident was a setup. Naturally, Olivia will demand answers from Tracy about why she’d do such a thing.
Alexis will hurl accusations as Tracy as well, so there’s the potential for Tracy’s plan to backfire spectacularly. Tracy was trying to keep Alexis quiet about her hookup with Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth), but she’s caused a nightmare that could explode and tip Olivia off to major trouble.
After Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) honest chat with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Willow Corinthos’ (Katelyn MacMullen) truth talk with Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattson), it’ll be time for Willow and Michael to get honest, too.
This will lead to the difficult decision to annul their marriage, but it won’t be a move Michael and Willow really want to make – not deep in their hearts.
Even so, Willow and Michael will move forward with their annulment while Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) implies that he was behind a deadly attack – one that stopped product from being moved and was a favor for Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) organization.
Cyrus will expect Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to do him a favor in return, so he may think Jason should repay his kindness by returning his mother. However, Jason obviously won’t trust Cyrus and probably shouldn’t give Florence Grey (Annie Abbott) up as leverage.
Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) made a mess of things, so what might happen if Jason surrendered Florence now? They could be left with a riled, vengeful Cyrus who no longer has to worry about his poor mother. Cyrus could retaliate in a big way the second Florence is free and the danger to her is gone.
Jason should hang onto Florence and continue to ride this out. He’ll also pay Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) a visit to offer a warning. Jason will fear that the situation could escalate even further, so he’ll push Britt to be careful.
Britt may be urged to butt out and let Jason deal with Cyrus on his own, but Britt’s in too deep to back out now.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Cameron Webber (William Lipton) will gain acceptance to a prestigious college. That could bring some issues if it’s too expensive for his family, but he might have a major scholarship to cover pretty much everything. Cam’s soccer skills might come in handy here.
Naturally, there could be other problems if Cameron’s college is hours away from Port Charles.
Cam might have reservations about leaving his family while Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) is in crisis – and he won’t be too keen on being separated from Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) either.
Next, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will keep mulling over clues as he lives a new life as “Mike” based on his watch inscription. Phyllis Caulfield (Juliette Jeffries) will be a big help along with her significant other, Lenny. Sonny will gain a job and a room above the bar after he helps Lenny foil a robbery.
Back with Britt, she’ll see Peter August (Wes Ramsey) in a new light – and chances are good it won’t be a pretty one! Britt may start to see that her brother is indeed treacherous like Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) insisted.
GH fans will also see some troubling news land in Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) lap. It’ll lead to Liz pushing Franco to spill the real story – and then she’ll blast Jason later. That could mean Liz will find out about the pact, which involves Jason killing Franco if any dark warning signs emerge from the tumor.
As for Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), she’ll offer Carly some comfort. That’ll be due to Sonny’s presumed death as well as Carly being forced to give up Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola). Ava will close in on a secret – presumably regarding the origins of Avery’s lucky charm necklace.
That half-heart pendant first belonged to Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier), who’s the bio daughter of Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). There’ll be some tight spots for Carly, but Ava will also be distracted by some upcoming move Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) makes.
Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will make a bold move of his own, which could leave Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) feeling uneasy.
As for Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), she’ll share some emotional scenes with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and will later try to calm a tense situation – one between Peter and one of his enemies no doubt.
