The Young and the Restless spoilers recap for Monday, January 18, tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will be working at Chancellor Communications when Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) breezes in to bring Billy back his tablet that he left at her house last night.
Victoria will gush that she and the kids had a wonderful time.
Later, Lily will say that Victoria clearly misses Billy, but Billy will have a tough time believing that. Billy will urge Lily to go ice skating with him for the afternoon, but Lily will balk, saying that they have too much work to do.
At Society, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will spot Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) at a table, and she’ll turn around to leave, bumping into Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) in the process.
Victor will sit with Adam, learning that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) isn’t making good progress. Victor will urge Adam to keep the faith, and Adam will thank Victor for his support.
At Crimson Lights, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will talk briefly to Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland), who will thank her for helping to lift Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) spirits yesterday.
Meanwhile, at the doctor’s office, Abby and Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) will get horrible news – Abby will have too much uterine scarring to be able to carry a baby.
Abby and Chance will head back to the Chancellor mansion, where Chance will comfort Abby, telling her that they’ll have their family one way or another. Traci will come to see Abby to offer comfort and tell her that she’s loved.
Traci will gently tell Abby that she has options. Soon, Mariah will join them and offer her comfort as well.
Later, after Mariah and Traci are gone, Abby will tell Chance that this news hurts worse than she could have imagined. Chance will indicate that he can see different ways to get to their perfect family, and Abby will say that the only option on the table is to have a family with Chance.
At Newman Enterprises, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will tell Victoria that she landed a big contract, and that they need to go to Hawaii to sign the papers. Victoria will balk, not wanting to take time away from the kids.
Nikki will think that Billy can watch the kids, and soon Victor will arrive and get in on trying to persuade Victoria to go.
Nikki will pick up the phone and call Billy, putting him on speakerphone. Nikki will explain the situation, and Billy will agree to take the kids for a couple days. Later, Victoria will gaze at a picture of herself, Billy, and the kids in her office and smile.
At Adam’s penthouse, Sharon will arrive with some books for Adam to help him pass the time. The nurse will then wheel Chelsea out of the den, and Chelsea will look really upset. “Get her the hell out of our home now!” Chelsea will think. Sharon will realize that Chelsea’s upset, and she’ll go.
Later, Adam will tell Chelsea that Sharon’s intentions were good. Chelsea will imagine that Sharon comes to the door and falls into Adam’s arms, kissing him. Chelsea will make an utterance out of anger, and Adam will be encouraged that Chelsea is starting to make progress.
Back at Chancellor Communications, Billy will tell Lily that he’s watching the kids while Victoria goes to Hawaii, and he’ll still pressure Lily to go ice skating. They’ll go, later heading to Society for a drink.
There, Billy will say that the kids need to get to know Lily, and they’ll decide to do it slowly and carefully. Billy will tell Lily that he’s falling in love with her, and Lily will receive the news well, but she won’t return the sentiment.
At Sharon’s house, Sharon will leave a phone message for Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind), and then Mariah will come home upset over Abby’s situation. Sharon will offer some comfort and offer brownies to help with the situation.
Finally, at Crimson Lights, Victor and Nikki will enjoy some coffee and talk briefly about Victoria and about Chelsea’s lack of progress. Victor will then get a text from Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) saying that Abby needs his help.
