The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Summer Newman (Hunter King) is about to learn you don’t mess with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope)! If you followed Sally’s storylines on The Bold and the Beautiful, you know she’s not afraid to fight for what she wants.
Of course, even Summer knows that now that she’s taken her little dirt-digging trip to LA and come home with some shockers.
However, the fact that Sally would fake a terminal illness, kidnap someone and plot to trap a guy with a pregnancy says a lot about who Sally is. Summer is so focused on the scandals that she can’t see the determination behind them!
Sally’s history should tell Summer that she’s capable of anything and shouldn’t be underestimated, in fact Summer is not in Sally’s league.
Unfortunately, that’s exactly what Summer’s doing: underestimating Sally. Summer feels confident she’s got the upper hand, but she’s about to lose it thanks to Theo Vanderway’s (Tyler Johnson) upcoming visit.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Theo will deliver information to Sally that’ll totally shift the balance of power and leave Sally in a position to do serious damage.
Theo’s secret will involve something that happened in New York, but Summer will be affected since this secret will affect their relationship. Y&R’s setting up some “Skyle” clashing and the potential for a breakup.
Although Sally seems interested in Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), she’s had some kind things to say about Kyle as well.
Sally also called Kyle a “hottie” at one point, so there’s clearly some attraction going on. It seems like Sally also senses that Kyle doesn’t underestimate her quite like Summer does, so she probably appreciates that.
Kyle’s been the one acting like it was a bad idea to poke the bear – and he’s right since Sally’s about to fire back with this new leverage of hers.
In the January 29 Y&R episode, Summer boldly declared that Sally’s chances of stealing her job were about the same as stealing her man. That led Kyle to assure Summer the chances were zero, but that exchange seemed rather ominous. Sally may indeed be poised to steal Summer’s man and her job!
Sally will have to play this just right since she’ll be attacking with this New York secret, but she may be able to keep her hands clean. Perhaps Sally can spin this so it somehow becomes Summer’s fault that it leaks.
Regardless, Summer went off to LA looking for something she could use on Sally, so fair is fair! Sally has every right to fight back since her fresh start in Genoa City is at risk.
Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) has been quite impressed with Sally’s work lately, including that marketing pitch she did. It’s easy to see the potential for Sally to start working her way up at Fenmore’s soon.
In fact, Lauren has some company shakeups brewing during the week of February 1-5, so Sally might score herself a little promotion. If Sally stays on the rise like this, she could ultimately take over Summer’s spot running JCV – especially if she resorts to a bit more sabotage.
