The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) may have a good reason to team up with Gloria Fisher-Bardwell (Judith Chapman).
Y&R fans know Phyllis found out about the embezzlement dirt Gloria had on Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), though Gloria claims she was trying to help rather than hurt.
Next, Phyllis turned Gloria down for a job at The Grand Phoenix. It’s easy to see The Young and the Restless writers nudging Gloria and Phyllis toward a potential story together. They’re laying the groundwork for Phyllis and Gloria as fellow schemers, so they just might target a new common enemy.
Phyllis will go after Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) in the coming weeks due to Sally’s rivalry with Summer Newman (Hunter King).
Despite all the chaos blowing up for Summer and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will continue to support Sally. We’re going to see love start to bloom as Genoa City takes notice – including Phyllis and inevitably Gloria, too.
It’s no coincidence that Gloria is taking over Sally’s old executive assistant position at Fenmore’s. The stage is set for big drama. Gloria has promised she won’t cause trouble, but it’s a guarantee that she actually will!
Since Gloria is quite protective of Jack and so is Phyllis, this is the perfect opportunity for them to join forces.
Since Gloria will be close to the situation through her job, Phyllis might recruit her to tear Jack and Phyllis apart. Gloria could resort to some sabotage tactics and do her best to make sure Jack’s romance with Sally fizzles.
Based on the way Phyllis scowled over Jack and Sally’s bond at Society, she’s already wary. As Sally and Jack grow even closer, Phyllis is bound to be appalled – particularly since Summer hates Sally’s guts.
The idea of Summer’s future father-in-law dating her enemy is a bad idea! Not to mention Jack is Phyllis’ ex, so she’s always going to watch out for him.
Gloria was romantically involved with Jack in the past as well and still considers him a close friend. There’s no way Gloria’s going to think Sally’s good enough for Jack, especially after Gloria gets to know Sally a bit better through work.
Bottom line, Phyllis isn’t going to approve of Jack and Sally’s budding relationship – and neither will Gloria. Y&R may be inching Phyllis and Gloria together for a joint plot to break up “Jally.” We’ll bring you updates as other news comes in.
