General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that we should talk about Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) fingerprints and where the story might head next. After a suspicious cop steals Sonny’s mug, he’ll plan to lift Sonny’s fingerprints off it and run them through the system.
If the cop were successful and exposed the truth, that’d mean identifying “Mike” as Sonny and ending this storyline.
Since GH writers don’t seem ready to wrap up this amnesia stuff yet, they need a way to keep the drama going. That means the cop could be prevented from looking into this any further.
There might be some hurdle that hits and somehow stops the officer from running Sonny’s fingerprints after all.
However, we should also consider the possibility that the cop will move forward with his big idea and indeed run Sonny’s fingerprints through the system.
In that case, GH writers would need a reason to keep this guy from revealing “Mike’s” true identity. What might convince the officer to keep quiet about who Sonny really is?
Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) recently decided to take a stand against Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), but she was threatened by him for quite some time.
Could this Pennsylvania cop be corrupt – someone who’s been threatened by Cyrus and his organization in the past? Could he be an ally of Cyrus’– perhaps another police connection that might come in handy?
Regardless, it’d be interesting if the officer has a link to Cyrus. General Hospital spoilers say Cyrus will get some updates that infuriate him during the week of February 22-26.
That could involve something related to Florence Grey (Annie Abbott) or Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor), but it could just as easily be related to “Mike” being identified as Sonny.
It might infuriate Cyrus to know his enemy’s not so dead after all! Cyrus could think he’s been duped again – just like when Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) faked his death.
It might be a situation where Cyrus assumes the Corinthos clan are in on some scheme – at least at first.
Of course, Cyrus could begin to view this as an advantage if he digs into things and realizes Sonny legitimately can’t remember who he is.
Perhaps Cyrus could see this as the ultimate leverage to get Florence back, but he’d no doubt want to make sure Sonny died for real in the end.
It could set up a proposed hostage trade as well as a plan for Cyrus to go back on his word and kill Sonny. On the other hand, we should note that Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) and Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) will be closing in on where Florence is being held soon.
If Florence is found and yanked out of the Corinthos clutches, that’d make Cyrus’ potential newfound Sonny info even more dangerous.
Cyrus would be a man with nothing left to lose! He’d be holding all the cards against the Corinthos clan and would have to decide how to handle the tricky situation from there.
