The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) may have to shift her strategy if she wants to keep her fresh start in Genoa City intact.
Y&R fans know Sally came from Los Angeles to GC in hopes of escaping a problematic past – one that brought some great drama on The Bold and the Beautiful.
Unfortunately, Sally made the mistake of starting a rivalry with Summer Newman (Hunter King), so Summer felt the need to protect her home turf. Summer went after Sally by scoring plenty of LA dirt, but Sally’s found some new dirt on Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) in response.
Since Sally knows Kyle may have a secret three-year-old son, this creates a stalemate that Sally’s hoping will protect her. Unfortunately, Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) arrival in town will be a game-changer.
Bill’s presence alone will put Sally on edge – and Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will take notice.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Lauren will become determined to learn the rest of Sally’s story. There are a few ways Lauren could find out exactly what went down.
Lauren could push Bill to spill all or even talk to someone like Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden) just like Summer did.
Sally is Lauren’s employee and was just given a promotion, so it’s reasonable for Lauren to know what she’s dealing with here. However, knowing Lauren’s personality and how she tends to operate, she’ll probably give Sally a chance to come clean herself.
Lauren may argue that she’s willing to give Sally a new beginning, but she still needs to know about her history to have the full picture.
If Sally feels like this is the only way to keep moving up the corporate ladder at Fenmore’s, she may have no choice but to tell Lauren about the fake terminal illness, kidnapping, pregnancy plot and more.
Sally might have to put it all out there and hope she can make Lauren understand.
Of course, Sally will want to make Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) understand as well since she’s clearly growing more interested in him. Jack’s approval means the world to Sally, so that’s where this new strategy shift may come in.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sally will do some digging and see what else there is to find in Jack’s past.
Jack has alluded to his wilder days and some big mistakes of his own. Sally may realize she needs to know more about Jack’s history as a way to minimize the damage her own story will do once it gets out.
Perhaps Sally will hope she can manipulate Jack into revealing similar shockers and make him see that they’re not so different at their core.
