The Young and the Restless spoilers update for Tuesday, February 16, tease that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will have a big warning for Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case). Sharon will attempt to explain that there’s nothing going on between herself and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), but Rey won’t buy it.
Rey will fume about how Sharon continually jumps when Adam calls, and he’ll determine that ultimately Sharon wants to be the one to save and support Adam – something that Rey will note sounds a lot like wedding vows. Rey will give Sharon a firm ultimatum, saying that he doesn’t want her to see Adam again.
Meanwhile, Adam will talk with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) over at Society. Adam will lament about Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) lack of progress, but when he mentions Sharon, Victor will note the pull that Adam obviously has toward his ex, although Adam won’t want to discuss the situation.
Later, Sharon will arrive at Society, and she’ll talk with Adam, who will admit to be rethinking having her serve as Chelsea’s therapist, and Sharon will mention something about having her own reasons for treating Chelsea.
Through their discussion, Sharon will reference Rey’s ultimatum, and she’ll blurt out that Rey thinks she still loves Adam, which will lead Adam and Sharon to kiss.
Next, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will spend some happy moments talking and enjoying ice cream after making love. Both Devon and Amanda will be pleased with how the evening went, and they’ll agree to see where things go from here.
Amanda will broach the subject of Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy), wanting to make sure that Devon is completely over Elena and that he wants to move on. Devon will tell Amanda that Elena is part of his past and that he’s ready to start the next chapter of his life.
Meanwhile, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Elena will have an uncomfortable discussion at their tropical getaway. It will all start when Elena’s unable to sleep and Nate guesses that Elena may have had a dream about Devon. Elena will skirt the issue by suggesting they go back to bed and make love.
However, later, Nate will be the one unable to sleep, and when Elena finds him up and brooding, she’ll find out that he’s figured something out – that she slept with Devon. Nate will say that he knows the signs, and Elena will admit that she and Devon slept together during the ice storm.
Nate won’t be surprised, but he will be hurt as Elena explains that she and Devon had to figure out if there was anything left between them. Elena will insist that she wants Nate, and that she and Devon realized that they can’t go back to what they once had.
Nate will need some time alone to mull this over, and he’ll take a walk alone on the beach.
