Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) may find himself in a very different position than the one he’s been in over the past few months.
DOOL fans know Tripp spent day after day insisting he was innocent while almost all of Salem called him guilty. Thankfully, the truth came out and confirmed Tripp really didn’t assault Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold).
Now Days might be gearing up for a major Tripp twist. Let’s consider the suspect list that’s emerging in Charlie Dale’s (Mike Manning) whodunit. Tripp will be a suspect, but so will Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) based on their ominous comments in the February 24 episode.
Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) will be a suspect immediately after her return to town, so that’s important to keep in mind, too.
Since Days has worked so hard to make Tripp the good guy of Allie’s recent assault story, it’s tough to buy him as the real murderer. Why suddenly turn Tripp into a killer now?
However, Tripp could still end up confessing under the circumstances. It’d be interesting for Tripp to confess to a murder he didn’t commit since the rape story was all about saying, “I didn’t do it!” Days has to shake things up and do something different, so having Tripp offer a bogus confession would fit here.
Allie’s going to be a mess once Sami’s arrested for Charlie’s murder. She’ll inevitably blame herself whether she actually pulled the trigger on Charlie or not. It’s doubtful Allie will really be responsible, but the evidence could eventually point in her direction.
Days of Our Lives spoilers hint that each suspect will get their moment in the shadows, so Tripp may worry things aren’t going to turn out well for Henry Horton’s (Jayna and Kinsley Fox) mom.
Tripp may want to protect both Allie and Grandma Sami depending on how this plays out. There could be a desire on Tripp’s part to preserve Henry’s family.
Regardless, there’s no way Tripp will sit back and do nothing if it looks like Allie might go to prison. Tripp wouldn’t let that happen to Henry – and he’ll feel like Allie’s already been through enough.
It’d be easy for Tripp to claim self-defense since Charlie just mouthed off to Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) about plotting to kill his half-brother. Tripp could argue that he confronted Charlie and had no choice but to defend himself.
In reality, Tripp may not be guilty at all, but this could really seal him as Allie’s hero and new love interest. It’d be a great way to kick off a romantic chapter for Tripp and Allie if he tries to take the fall for her.
