General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, March 12, reveals that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) entered the garage for the poker game he was promised him a seat at.
Once “Mike” was welcomed, he sat down and folded on a few hands. Sonny hustled the other guys a bit until there were only two left – and then “Mike” won big against a man named Bob.
Bob demanded to know what kind of game “Mike” was playing. He felt like Sonny had played him for a fool, but Sonny argued that sometimes lady luck is on your side – and sometimes she’s sitting in somebody else’s lap.
Bob snapped that he didn’t think luck had anything to do with it.
At The Tan-O on Friday’s GH episode, Elijah Crowe stopped by with the contract all ready to go. Suddenly, Sonny appeared and announced that it was time for him to pay his bill.
“Mike” was looking roughed up with a gash on his lip and bruised area near his eye. His shirt was also halfway untucked, so it was clear he’d been in a fight with Bob.
Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) and Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton) were stunned when Sonny put a giant stack of cash on the table. Phyllis argued that they’d never asked Sonny to pay – and even if they did, that was way too much.
“Mike” didn’t stop there and placed another stack down for the next six months of boarding there.
Lenny was elated and shook Sonny’s hand vigorously to seal the deal. He let Elijah know they wouldn’t be needing him for a deal after all. Elijah tried to act like he was happy for the Caulfields, but he questioned where a drifter with no memory got all that money.
Sonny quipped that he couldn’t remember, but he later told Phyllis and Lenny that he won it playing poker.
Outside the bar, Elijah turned somewhat menacing on a phone call. “I need you to find out everything you can on ‘Mike.’ Follow him. Do whatever it takes,” Elijah said.
In Port Charles, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) stopped by Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) office and filled her in on how Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) didn’t marry Peter August (Wes Ramsey).
After Valentin explained Peter’s exposure, he opened up about his guilt about delivering Peter to Cesar Faison (Anders Hove).
In Friday’s General Hospital episode, Nina praised Valentin for protecting Maxie, but he worried about Peter’s fate. Valentin felt like Peter would be a revenge target as long as he remained free.
Nina also talked to Valentin about Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) death and they couldn’t make it work because he didn’t want a family.
Valentin assumed it hurt when Franco ended up with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and three boys, but Nina suggested she was happy Franco became so warm and caring with them.
Nina was grateful to be in Charlotte Cassadine’s (Scarlett Fernandez), but she admitted Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) were trying to keep her away from Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) now.
Valentin didn’t seem all that surprised once he heard the “real mommy” story, but Nina defended her intentions.
When Valentin alluded to Nina’s earlier Carly revenge plot and offered his services, but Nina backed off the idea for now. Once Valentin was gone, Nina made a call to someone. She said she wanted to know more about her grandson and asked when this person could get there.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) was apologetic about overreacting to Wiley’s declaration that she wasn’t his real mommy. Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) insisted that Willow was Wiley’s mom, not Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier).
Willow felt like when the time was right, she would still have to tell Wiley the story of the child she lost. Her concern was that she didn’t want Wiley to feel like a replacement. Michael took Willow’s hand and promised they’d figure it out together.
However, Willow was upset over the news that Michael shut Nina out without talking to her. She felt like it should’ve been a decision they made together, so Michael acknowledged that Willow was right.
Willow was understanding since Michael had been the primary parent before her, but they were on the same page about being a team.
Jason also stopped by the Quartermaine mansion, where Danny Morgan (Porter Fasullo) happened to be staying.
Danny was upset over missing Jason at home – and he admitted that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) cries in her room alone when she thinks no one can hear. Danny insisted his mom was crying about Jason.
When Danny begged Jason to come home, Jason warned it wasn’t fair to make plans and cancel them all the time. Danny argued that he didn’t care, but Jason stood his ground.
Jason hugged Danny in a sweet father-son moment.
After Jason offered updates to Michael on Franco’s death, Michael assumed there was a long list of suspects. Jason acknowledged that the police were looking into it, but Michael didn’t think Jason was the type to trust a police investigation.
Jason admitted that if the cops didn’t find Franco’s killer, then someone else would have to.
At Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) apartment, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) admitted he slept with Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) the night before her wedding to Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison). Chase was furious, but Gregory pushed Jackie and Finn to tell the rest of the story.
Jackie insisted that she knew in her heart that Chase was Gregory’s son, but Chase realized there wasn’t proof – and that he could be Finn’s son instead.
Chase put it together that the DNA results were for him and argued that if Finn wanted them so much, then to go get them. Chase kept shouting at Jackie and Finn to leave, so they hurried out.
That left Gregory and Chase to have a heart-to-heart alone on the couch. Chase assured Gregory that it didn’t matter what a DNA test said. Gregory was the one who’d always been there for Chase, so Gregory would always be his father.
Although Gregory appreciated hearing that, he didn’t think they could just move on and pretend nothing happened. Gregory warned they had to prepare for changes.
Over with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), she tried to explain her side of the Maxie story during a call to Frisco Jones (Jack Wagner). After Frisco hung up on Anna, she entered Peter’s office and said she was there to give him a message from his father.
Peter argued that if Anna wanted to use Faison to manipulate him, then go right ahead.
Peter called her “Aunt Anna” before Anna launched a story about how Faison wanted to plan a future with her years ago. Faison said something similar to what Peter said about letting the past go.
It turned into a dangerous obsession, so Anna warned Peter not to end up like his father. She pushed Peter to let Maxie go.
Anna felt like Peter had to do what was right for Maxie and the baby, but Peter argued that he’d go to prison if he confessed – and then he’d lose Maxie.
Anna argued that Peter had already lost Maxie, but Peter countered that Anna was just like Faison. “I am nothing like Faison!” Anna fired back.
Peter went on a rant about Anna killing his true mother, Alex Devane Marick (Finola Hughes), who accepted him for who he is. Peter yelled that being good Peter was exhausting, so he was embracing his parents’ legacy.
Peter also felt like Anna must’ve been relieved that he wasn’t really her son.
Anna denied that, but Peter argued that Anna should’ve been the one who was killed, not Alex. Peter felt like Faison and Alex did exactly what they wanted, so he intended to do the same.
Peter hissed, “And right now, I really want you to pay for all—” As Peter threatened Anna, Jason appeared and looked like he was in “Stone Cold” mode!
