General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the door’s open for a double twist on the ABC soap. GH fans know Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was behind some paternity test tampering, so he ordered someone to make sure the results went the way he had in mind.
Of course, that means Cyrus got confirmation that no matter what the truth was, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) would match as Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) biological father.
However, General Hospital obviously wouldn’t bother with the paternity test tampering if there wasn’t going to be a change. Finn is clearly Chase’s brother and not his dad.
The question is: Does that for sure mean that Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) is Chase’s father or could there be another option? This is a soap where paternity surprises happen all the time, so there are often big upsets in the daddy department.
It’d bring that double twist we mentioned if Chase’s bio dad isn’t Finn AND it isn’t Gregory.
There are a few clues that could point in another direction, so let’s talk about them. For starters, GH writers had Jackie mention that Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) was halfway around the world when she found she was pregnant.
It was established that Robert and Jackie weren’t really in touch at the time, so that might’ve been a line to shut down any suspicion that Robert might’ve been the bio dad. It’s become a popular theory – or at least a form of wishful thinking – on social media, so the writing team might’ve wanted to eliminate it.
That’s especially true if there’s going to be another paternity bombshell coming. It could’ve been like a preemptive strike to say Robert isn’t going to be the father either. If Finn, Gregory and Robert are all ruled out, who could be Jackie’s true “baby daddy”?
There’s an interesting option to consider based on a clue from back in 2019. Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) was showing Sam around the Dawn of Day house when she spotted a picture of Jackie. Sam asked if that was really Jackie Templeton, so Shiloh insisted it was the one and only.
Shiloh went on to say that he met Jackie while they were building sustainable housing in Central America. He added that you meet amazing people when you devote your life to outreach, so it’s obvious Shiloh thought highly of Jackie – and perhaps made his move with her at some point!
Since it’s on record that Shiloh knew Jackie and connected with her, could Shiloh be Chase’s biological father? It’s an intriguing idea to ponder since Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) recently brought up her cult experience to Chase.
It was part of their conversation in the aftermath of the initial paternity drama, so there’s a chance everything could link together.
It’d be a real shock for Chase if Shiloh is actually his bio dad. Although it might mean having to fudge Shiloh’s age a bit, General Hospital could make it work.
After the horrors Shiloh inflicted on Willow and so many others, Chase would truly loathe his roots if this bomb dropped. His life would be turned upside down all over again!
