General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) has been growing closer to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), but it’s easy to see she’s not over Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
Sam’s always going to love Jason and worry about his well-being, so that’s exactly why she rushed to the PCPD after learning about his arrest.
Of course, Sam wasn’t the only one who arrived to see Jason in lockup! Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) has also come to care about Jason – and they shared a tender moment right as Sam walked in.
We’ve got Jason’s new love interest who’s quickly falling for him and an old love interest who may never shake him. There’s the potential for a great love triangle here if GH writers want to take advantage of it.

Jason’s true love is arguably Sam, but he understands her reasons for breaking up. General Hospital fans know Jason can’t bail on his dangerous lifestyle, especially now that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is gone.
Since Jason’s sitting in jail right now, it’s obvious Sam had valid reasons to be concerned about the risks that follow Jason wherever he goes.
However, Sam’s putting herself in some pretty risky situations, too! Sam confronted armed and programmed Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), so risks just come with the territory of living in perilous Port Charles.
Besides, Sam’s children won’t be young forever. Does Sam really want to throw Jason away for good and let him move on with Britt? What happens once Sam’s kids are older and she’s stuck living life without Jason by her side?
Sam will have to decide if she can live with that, especially as she watches Jason and Britt grow closer.
Jason and Sam have plenty of history to draw from, so that reigns supreme for some fans. Other General Hospital viewers feel like Jason and Sam have gotten a bit stale. It’s all a matter of preference and what you value most in a pairing.
There’s no denying that Jason has a different sort of energy when he’s with Britt. Jason and Britt have intriguing chemistry that really makes them interesting to watch in scenes together.
They’re an exciting and fresh match, so does that beat the familiar, comforting territory that comes with Jason and Sam?
