General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, March 29 Recap – Jason Rejects Deal, Keeps Florence - Cyrus Rats Out Martin for Julian Escape

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, March 29, reveals that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) frustrated Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) by refusing to give up Florence Grey (Annie Abbott) as leverage. Jason felt it was too dangerous and wanted Carly to help prove his innocence instead.

Carly admitted that Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) was the eyewitness Cyrus had cooked up, which Jason found perplexed. Gladys doesn’t even live in Port Charles and her own son works for Cyrus, so she seems like the last person Cyrus would pick for a witness.

Jason concluded that meant Gladys actually saw Peter August (Wes Ramsey) the night Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) was killed.

Speaking of Peter, he approached Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) at GH and wanted to take responsibility for Franco’s death. Peter suggested he was sorry if his article at The Invader contributed to Franco’s demise and wanted a chance to make it right.

Peter thought Liz could tell her story through another article at The Invader and help convict Jason in the court of public opinion.

Elizabeth flipped out and eventually told Peter to “shut the hell” up. She ranted about his past crimes as a big scene erupted. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) came to Liz’s rescue and pushed Peter to back off.

However, it still took Elizabeth’s phone call to security before Peter finally relented and boarded the elevator.

At Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) place, she told Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) she was late. Once Liesl was inside, Anna asked questions related to Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) latest ordeal.

Liesl argued it was obvious that Dante had lingering PTSD issues and didn’t make a full recovery in Geneva.

Obrecht asked what any of this had to do with her and denied having a relationship with the late Dr. Warren Kirk (Jamison Jones). Anna felt that Liesl must have one since she was his patient, so Obrecht admitted that was true.

As Anna kept quizzing Obrecht about the nature of her connection to Dr. Kirk, she wondered if Dr. Kirk had sexually assaulted Liesl. When Liesl turned her head away, Anna was sorry if that was true. Liesl pointed out that Dr. Kirk was dead now and seemed to brush the whole thing off.

Anna suggested that if there were to be another incident, she would know Dr. Kirk had been working with someone and would have to go after that person.

Liesl got emotional over not warning Franco in advance about Peter or confronting Peter sooner, but Anna felt Peter was to blame. Franco’s murder had really opened Anna’s eyes.

Anna was adamant that justice be served through a prison sentence and not Peter’s death. However, Liesl argued that something we can’t always get what we want.

When Peter crossed paths with Liesl later, he taunted her about how he would be with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and cut Obrecht out of their family’s lives. Liesl made it clear that justice would be coming for Peter instead.

As for Anna, she opened the door to another visit after Liesl left. It was Carly, who was eager to talk about Peter.

At Marcus Taggert’s (Real Andrews) hearing, he ultimately decided to change his plea to not guilty. The judge took some time to mull it over and decided to allow it.

Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) spoke up on Taggert’s behalf, so he made bail on the condition that he’d stay with Jordan and wear an ankle monitor.

Taggert filled Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) in on his move-in with Jordan, who he praised for helping him out. Trina also finally got that hug she’s been desperately wanting to share with her father.

Over with Cameron Webber (William Lipton), he had all kinds of social media ideas for Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) related to the new nightclub. Curtis pointed out that Cameron didn’t work for him, but Cam was happy to help out anyway.

Later, TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) talked about his medical school graduation and how he was unsure about the seating situation. TJ wanted to know whether he should get tickets separate or together for Curtis and Jordan.

Curtis felt like TJ knew it wouldn’t be a problem for him to sit with Jordan on this special occasion. He wondered what was really bothering TJ, who admitted that moving forward for Jordan seemed to be reuniting with Curtis.

TJ wondered if there was room in Curtis’ new life for Jordan or if they’d be sticking to this split.

At the Metro Court on Monday’s GH episode, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) wasn’t pleased as Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) admitted to seeing his mother a month ago. Martin didn’t know Florence’s current whereabouts, but he kept quiet about the earlier visit to do what was best for Mama.

Cyrus wanted Laura Collins (Genie Francis) to understand that there was a little darkness in all of them, so he ratted Martin out for an earlier transgression.

Laura was stunned to learn that Martin helped Julian Jerome (William deVry) escape after the bombing at The Floating Rib, but Martin argued that he didn’t know all the details at the time.

Cyrus argued that Martin didn’t want the truth about their brother status coming out since Julian found a picture of them together when they were younger. Cyrus added that Martin called him – clearly expecting him to go after Julian before Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) did.

Once Cyrus was satisfied with his secret spillage, he sauntered off and left Martin to do damage control. Martin didn’t want Laura to let Cyrus poison their new bond, but Laura remained on edge. Laura took back the Easter invitation she previously offered and suggested it was a bit soon for that.

Cyrus ultimately made his way to Jason’s cell and expected to hear the news that Jason was taking the deal. Jason shocked Cyrus by insisting he was rejecting it – though he promised to say hi to Cyrus’ mom for him!
