General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will keep working to preserve her secret along with the new life she’s building in Nixon Falls. Nina is obviously falling for “Mike” aka Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), so that’s certainly going to complicate things as this amnesia storyline continues.
Sonny has quickly become smitten with Nina and almost shared a kiss with her before they were interrupted. It’s only a matter of time until Nina locks lips with Sonny and perhaps takes the next steps, too! Sonny and Nina may end up sleeping together as well as deciding to have a real relationship.
Of course, this is all happening while Sonny’s living as “Mike” and has no memory of his old life in Port Charles. Even so, Sonny may not be able to just turn his feelings off down the road. Even after Sonny’s memories come back to him, he may be torn between Nina and Carly.
With that in mind, it’s only fair to complicate things in the romance department for Carly as well. Could Carly and Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) reconnect in a steamy way? Sean Blakemore is back on contract at GH, so Shawn’s poised to get out of prison sooner or later.
General Hospital spoilers say Shawn will fight for his freedom during May sweeps, so that could put him on the outside for a potential Carly romance. Since Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is about to go on the run with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), Carly will need someone to step up and offer protection.
Shawn could be that person for Carly since he just proved his loyalty with that stabbing at Pentonville.
It looks like Shawn will score his official release and help Carly out even more, so what might this lead to? Shawn and Carly dabbled in romantic territory once upon a time, so maybe this could serve as another chance for them.
After all, Shawn is probably pretty lonely after all this time behind bars. Carly is also battling loneliness without Sonny by her side. Shawn and Carly could at least have a fling at some point in the coming months.
It’d be great to bring another romantic party in the mix on Carly’s side since Sonny’s got Nina to make a mess.
