General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) has found herself in familiar territory when it comes to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and the danger surrounding him. A manhunt for a fugitive is obviously pretty perilous business, but Sam’s been determined to track Jason down.
What happened to all that talk about the risks of being with Jason? Sam’s arguably resorting to the same risks as usual by tackling this search and going on the same old Jason-related missions.
GH fans know Sam broke up with Jason in hopes of giving her kids a safer, more normal life, but what’s really changed since then?
Jason is still Danny Morgan’s (Porter Fasullo) father and has served as a father figure to Scout Cain (Ella Ramacieri) since Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) death as well.
General Hospital spoilers say there’s no way Sam can escape her connection to Jason, so she’s always going to be drawn to the danger if Jason’s stuck in it.
This fugitive situation and the search for Jason might open Sam’s eyes to that fact – at least if that’s how General Hospital writers want to take things. Could Sam decide she wants Jason back?
The relief of knowing Jason’s finally safe could easily bring the temptation for a kiss or something more. It could intensify Sam’s lingering love for Jason once he’s back home down the road.
Of course, Sam could decide she wants a reunion too late! Jason is falling hard for Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and should take some big steps toward a romance with her while they’re hiding out from the cops.
By the time Jason’s cleared of Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) murder and free in Port Charles again, he may be head over heels for Britt.
In the end, Jason might decide he’d be better off sticking with Britt and leaving Sam as part of his past. Jason respected and understood Sam’s decision to put the kids first, so he may think she should stick with that.
Things aren’t as complicated with Britt since they don’t have any children together.
Jason might also worry about getting his heart broken again if Sam pushes him away again. There’d be some good reasons for Jason to keep his guard up with Sam and focus on Britt.
Even if Sam makes a solid reunion pitch on General Hospital, it may be Britt who Jason wants and sticks to pursuing eventually.
