General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, May 19, teases that Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) getaway will be derailed while Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) makes a tempting offer to save Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) will also confess to Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor), so let’s talk about all the action that’s coming up.
For starters, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) will wonder why she should waste her time on this meeting with Carly. Carly will think she’s going to make it worth Gladys’ wild with her latest offer. She’ll tempt Gladys with some proposition she makes, but we’ll see if Gladys actually agrees.
Of course, Carly will keep Sasha’s “baby daddy” secret as a last resort. She knows Brando’s life could be in danger, so she could use that father shocker to manipulate Gladys if need be.
However, Carly will count on this first plot of hers to do the trick – or at least she’ll hope it will. The goal is to exonerate Jason with Gladys’ cooperation, so Carly will certainly give this scheme her all.
Across town, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) will corner Laura Collins (Genie Francis) with some big news and will suggest she’s going to like it. This may have something to do with Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) becoming Pentonville’s new owner.
Cyrus might act like this move will get Nikolas off the hook, but the truth is he’ll probably dig his heels in and make Nikolas suffer. GH fans know Cyrus doesn’t approve when someone tries to gain the upper hand, so Nikolas’ decision could backfire in the long run.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) will grow increasingly agitated in his room at GH.
Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) insisted that it was his fault that Chase was in this mess. He argued that Chase’s life depends on him staying put, but Chase will refuse to stay without the real story.
Chase will plan to exit the building unless Finn can offer an explanation that makes sense. Finn may either admit the truth or spill enough to satisfy Chase. If not, maybe Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) can calm Chase down.
There’s also the potential for Chase to have another setback that forces him to stay in bed, but it certainly doesn’t look like he’ll actually leave the hospital – no matter how this plays out!
In Canada, Jason will catch Britt trying to make a break for it ahead of her doctor’s visit. Jason will worry that Britt might be doing it for his own protection, but he’ll warn her not to.
Having Britt see a specialist about her hand tremors will mean taking a gamble, especially since Jason intends to support Britt at this appointment. Two fugitives out in the open means double the risk, but Jason will insist on being there for Britt and quieting her fears.
As for Brando, he’ll find Sasha and hope she can be honest with him. Brando will need to know if he’s the father of her baby, so he’ll put Sasha on the spot. After Brando reveals he found out through Cyrus, that should prove troubling to Sasha.
However, Sasha will eventually confess that Brando is indeed her “baby daddy” – and they’ll try to figure out where they go from here. In Nixon Falls, there’ll be some drama as Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) lashes out at the criminal he recognized from The Tan-O break-in.
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will make sure Sonny doesn’t go too far, but she’ll indeed let “Mike” scare this brute a bit.
With any luck, Nina and Sonny can walk away with some incriminating Elijah Crowe (Dan White) updates. It sounds like some great scenes are ahead as Sonny and Nina continue to work as a team.
