Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for Friday, May 21, tease that Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) will exit after an emotional farewell to Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) – and Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) will prove he’s devoted to Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) by pumping the brakes on that kiss with Claire Brady (Isabel Durant).
Friday’s DOOL episode will mark the onscreen start of Marci Miller’s maternity leave, so this will be Abigail’s final airdate for a while. Chad will hate to see Abigail go, but she’ll insist on taking a break from Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) as she tries to find herself again.
It’ll work out well for Abigail to get away and find some clarity, but Chad will still cry over this tough goodbye.
As for Gwen, she’ll have to figure out what she’s going to do about Dr. Clay Snyder’s (Michael Lowry) blackmail threat. We know Gwen will end up carrying out some shocking tasks for Dr. Snyder, so she’ll indeed be stuck doing his bidding until she can nail down another solution.
Meanwhile, Ben will back away from Claire’s smooch, so she’ll offer an apology for overstepping. After Claire and Ben talk things out, they’ll agree friendship is what works best for them.
Ben will eventually leave to do some soul-searching, so he’ll visit the cabin where he first started falling for Ciara. Days spoilers say Ben’s going to burn those divorce papers and resolve to hold out hope for a reunion!
Next, John Black (Drake Hogestyn) will worry that Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) and Belle Brady’s (Martha Madison) plan will end in catastrophe.
Manipulating Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) is never a good idea since she’s so crafty and capable of anything. Days spoilers state that John will have a bad feeling about this – and his instincts will be proven right when Shawn loses control of his trap.
Shawn will suggest taking Jan to a hotel suite, but she’ll eventually determine this is all a ruse to pry a confession out of her. As the walls close in, Jan will make some drastic moves and leave Shawn in panic mode.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Jan will snatch Claire at gunpoint, so the danger will explode as some hostage drama gets underway.
