The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, May 25, reveals that Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) demanded a 24-hour promise from Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) while Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) established some new rules.
At the cabin, Hope ranted about Bill turning an accident into a crime and his own son into a criminal. Bill argued that Liam was in no condition to talk to the cops that night. He felt if they had stayed at the accident site, Liam wouldn’t have gotten his family back at all.
Bill refused to let Liam confess and insisted they had this all worked out. Hope kept blasting Bill for making Liam act like a murderer, but Bill argued that he was the only reason Liam wasn’t sitting in a jail cell.
Hope countered that Bill had turned Liam’s life into a prison through the guilt he was forced to carry. He’s not you, Bill,” Hope insisted. Bill agreed that Liam was better than him, but he felt this case would be a prosecutor’s dream and a slam dunk.
Liam tried his best to play referee since he knew both Hope and Liam wanted to protect him. Hope didn’t want Liam to go to jail and neither did Bill. Liam insisted it was his decision to go to the authorities, but Bill argued it’d be the biggest mistake Liam made in his life. He talked about the gray area between doing what’s right and wrong.
Bill added that the only things that would get Liam locked up were Hope’s bad advice and Liam’s guilty conscience. He reminded Liam that he didn’t run over a saint and called Vinny a piece of garbage. Bill insisted that Vinny was dead, so there was nothing they could do for him.
After Bill softened a bit on Tuesday’s B&B episode, he pushed Liam and Hope not to do anything rash for 24 hours. Bill wanted them to promise, so Liam nodded slightly – and Hope seemed to be willing to offer that as well.
At Forrester Creations, Quinn wondered if things were going to be awkward with Carter now, but he hoped not. They agreed they needed to push past what happened and focus on their futures – Quinn’s with Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Carter’s with Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes).
Quinn acknowledged that her connection to Carter was everything, but she could get that from Eric now. She also thought Zoe Buckingham would be a great wife, so Carter acknowledged that he wanted to be a good man for her.
Carter suggested they shouldn’t even be talking like this and agreed with Quinn about putting whatever was between them to rest. They decided they couldn’t whisper around the office and that Quinn shouldn’t come back to Carter’s loft. Quinn also didn’t think they should be alone together.
Carter wondered if Quinn didn’t think she could handle being alone with him, but she just meant it always led to talking about their feelings and other topics they shouldn’t discuss. That said, Quinn felt it was important to act normal – like they were friends.
“Isn’t that what we are?” Carter asked. They exchanged smiles and agreed they were indeed friends, but they had to bury what happened between them forever.
Meanwhile, Zoe talked to Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) about Carter’s involvement with Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards). It hurt that Carter slept with someone else, but Zoe had accepted it and was thrilled to know Carter had forgiven her for her own mistakes.
Paris was thrilled for Zoe, who gave Quinn almost all the praise for making this reunion happen. “Talk about a real friend!” Zoe gushed. She had seen an amazing change in Carter and had to believe it was all thanks to Quinn. Zoe couldn’t wait to tell Quinn the good news and thank her.
When she found Quinn and Carter in the main office, Zoe seemed puzzled and wondered what was going on. However, Zoe quickly assumed Carter had given Quinn updates on their reunion. She praised Quinn for all her help, but Quinn was just happy that Carter and Zoe were going to move forward.
At Spencer Publications, Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) kept trying to figure out why Bill would even care about Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero). Flo Logan (Katrina Bowden) was also perplexed over the way Bill kept going off on Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) about his dead friend.
Wyatt assumed Bill was being protective of Liam over all the paternity drama, but he thought Bill was more aggressive than he had to be. Something didn’t add up for Wyatt, who felt Bill and Liam weren’t telling him everything when it came to their tension.
