The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) may be furious if Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) ends up bonding with Johnny Abbott (Holden and Ryan Hare) and Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri). Billy might reject Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) potential stepdad pick and try to stop this budding relationship before it ever has a chance to progress to marriage.
Ashland is clearly interested in Victoria, and she’s becoming more interested in him as well. Although Victoria obviously has some sort of agenda, she’s beginning to see the fatherly side of Ashland – and kids are certainly a soft spot for Victoria.
Despite Victoria’s ambition at the office, she adores her children and would do just about anything for them.
However, Billy will worry as Victoria and Ashland’s bond grows stronger. If this turns into a serious relationship, Ashland will need to meet Johnny and Katie – just like Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) did.
Victoria was a bit jealous of Lily’s connection to the kids, so this could be Billy’s chance to get jealous of Ashland sliding in that daddy spot.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Ashland will be crushed when the paternity results show Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is Harrison Locke’s (Kellen Enriquez) father. Ashland will no doubt lean on Victoria in the aftermath and reel over not being his beloved son’s true dad.
As Ashland gets closer to Victoria, there’s the potential for him to spend time with Katie and Johnny. There might even be some situation where it’s not exactly planned, but Ashland crosses paths with Victoria yet again and ends up joining some family fun.
If Billy sees Ashland getting too close for comfort, he may hit the roof and blast Victoria.
Regardless, Billy doesn’t trust Ashland and will hate the idea of Victoria bringing him into their children’s lives at all. Victoria may begin to view Ashland as harmless and misunderstood.
Victoria already seems well on her way to thinking like that, but Billy will continue to view Ashland as a threat – one that Johnny and Katie need to be protected from.
Billy worries about the kids getting dragged into Ashland’s drama on the May 27 episode, so there may be a reason why Y&R writers are focusing on the Johnny and Katie angle.
It’d be a good strategy to show Billy the flip side of how things played out with Lily, who’ll keep bonding with the kids, too.
Nevertheless, Billy may overreact and start thinking about what’ll happen if marriage becomes part of the equation for Ashland and Victoria. He definitely wouldn’t want Ashland playing stepfather to Katie and Johnny daily!
