The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers preview for the week of June 7-11 teases that Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) will fear she could be declared an unfit mother based on Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) ammunition. Meanwhile, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will protect Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) from Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), so there’ll be a coffeehouse showdown.
First, let’s discuss the Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) custody case. In the Friday, June 4 episode, Ashland will offer Tara the chance at shared custody – but there’ll be a catch.
Ashland will offer that deal if Tara will cut off all contact between Harrison and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) permanently.
The good news is Tara will apparently reject the deal and give Kyle a chance to be in his son’s life. The bad news is Ashland will intend to play dirty and cut Tara out of the picture instead.
Ashland will no doubt feel like Kyle is replacing him, so he’ll be more than willing to shove both Tara and Kyle aside if he has to.
Kyle will feel like any judge will be able to see that Tara’s a good mother. However, Tara will warn that Ashland’s going to bring out the big guns to prove she isn’t.
Tara will fear that Ashland just might have the ammunition to do it, so she’s obviously hiding something she hasn’t yet disclosed.
What’s buried in Tara’s past that might come up now? Could Tara have a history of addiction or perhaps a period of time where she was unstable? Ashland could certainly try to use any drug use or psychiatric issues to his advantage.
Tara will need to fill Kyle in so that they can be prepared for whatever Ashland throws at them in court.
Next, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will remain confident that he can handle Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). When Billy bumps into Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) at Crimson Lights, he’ll admit Victor has something cooking up.
Billy will assure Victoria that he has no intention of letting his guard down and will trust that he can deal with her father’s retaliation.
Victoria may worry Billy’s a little too smug all things considered. That goes for Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) as well! ChancComm may be far more vulnerable than Lily and Billy realize, but we’ll just have to see how they fare after Victor takes his vengeful shot.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say there’ll be another tense interaction at the coffeehouse later. Rey will be sitting at a table with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) while Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) looks on.
When Adam appears and clashes with the detective, Rey will wonder if Adam’s got some issue with him.
“Yeah, big one. I don’t like what you’re doing with Chelsea,” Adam warns in Y&R’s weekly preview video. It’s clear that Adam is still quite protective of his ex-fiancée and the mother of his child.
Adam will want Rey to back off and let Chelsea get better, but Rey will be determined to prove Chelsea and Victor have been in cahoots.
