Viewers recall that Vinny’s girlfriend lives in upstate California. He was living with her most of the time, which allowed Thomas and the Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle in a dual role) mannequin to get to know each other in Vinny’s modest apartment.
If Vinny’s girlfriend picked him up after his release, then she would have driven LoCicero’s character to wherever she lives or to his parent’s home. But it’s also plausible to believe that this couple could have gone back to his apartment.
Regardless, Vinny’s girlfriend wouldn’t have dropped him off at his apartment and then left, as being alone wouldn’t have been seen as wise after what he had recently endured.

Thomas is focused on being a better father and overall human being. So, he’ll need to summon his greatest reserves when interacting with Liam in coming days.
Yes, Liam is guilty of hitting Vinny. But that incident truly was an accident and Thomas will eventually accept that fact.
Along with the above, the person most likely to break this case is also Thomas. A great redemptive storyline would have Liam’s nemesis, who also detests Bill, helping to free them.
Something is off in this scenario. Liam is guilty of not reporting the crime. Bill created and enforced a cover-up. So, new information needs to be unearthed so that Clifton and Diamont’s characters aren’t sentenced to prison for years.
Having Thomas discover that Vinny’s girlfriend, or another individual, did something to him on Mulholland Drive would be the type of soapy reveal that can upend this storyline. However, Liam and Bill’s freedom can’t happen easily and must be fully explained in order to be believable.
