Tonight on NBC their new medical drama “The Good Doctor” airs with an all-new Monday, June 7, 2021, episode and we have you The Good Doctor recap below. On tonight’s The Good Doctor season 4 episode, 20 called, “Vamos,” as per the ABC synopsis, “Dr. Shaun Murphy must perform a risky surgery on a patient without electricity when the power suddenly goes out.
Dr. Lim and Dr. Mateo Rendón Osma’s relationship deepens as they overcome difficulties during their surgery.”

In tonight’s finale episode, the episode begins with Shaun and Lea, he tells her if going home makes her feel better, it is a good thing. The team gets into a bus and Audrey gets up to tell them that on day 1 they are getting their feet wet with three of the easiest surgeries.
We then see the three surgeries being performed and all of a sudden, the power goes out. They have blackouts in the mountains all the time, and the generator is not working. Audrey tells the team to come up with alternate surgery plans. Claire looks over at Audrey smiling, she sees Matteo smiling and does the math.
Lea is talking to a mother in the nursery, she asks her to stay with her. All of a sudden the power is back on.
Audrey and Matteo are in bed, he tells her that he is American but was born in Mexico, he fakes the accent for sexy purposes. She tells him that she has to go for a run. At the hospital, Claire sits with one of the patient’s daughters and tries to cheer him up. Marcus flirts with Morales, she notices his wedding ring. He tells her that his wife told him she is leaving before he left and she has someone else. He apologizes to her for flirting. She tells him that she thinks he wants to make his marriage work, that is why he still wears his ring.
Claire and the patient’s daughter hand out toys to the children that they brought from America. Aaron calls Shaun who tells him that Lea is sad. Aaron says he loves that he asks him for advice and always will, but he has noticed the last while, he has needed him less and less. He tells Shaun that he is the smart one and can do anything, he is good at this, better than he thinks.
Back to Audrey and Matteo in bed, he tells her that he ended up in Guatemala because it is a good job, he gets to help people, and sometimes he gets to have sex with American women. He asks her what she is hiding. He says between her excess need to exercise, the alarms that go off and she never answers when she is around him and the nightmares that she has every night, she is hiding something. She tells him they should get ready for their day.
Claire’s patient has gallbladder cancer and it has spread to the liver. Unfortunately, nobody can help, only Claire can give the patient a fighting chance but it is a long procedure.
In the ICU Lea is still with the mother, her child was on a ventilator and the doctors needed it, so they took it away.
In surgery, Audrey tells Matteo that she has PTSD, she lost a good friend and lost others to COVID. Lea is manually pumping oxygen into the baby’s lungs, she tells the mother to rest. Shaun comes into the room, smiles at Lea, and takes over pumping. Meanwhile, Claire’s patient is in distress and she doesn’t know why – she speaks to Shaun about the patient. He tells her that she is good at this, better than she thinks.
Morgan takes a break, Alex comes in and tells her she did work, he just had to close up. She tells him that she needs a friend. She tells him that she hates failing. He laughs, he says it is seeing her vulnerable. He tells her that she didn’t fail, she is kick ass at everything and she inspires him and annoys him, a small price to pay. Meanwhile, Claire’s patient is going to be ok, she gives the news to the patient’s daughter.
Shaun tells Lea to stop pumping, he believes the baby will breathe on its own and she does. Lea is thrilled, so is the mother. Lea goes to leave, the mother says no. She wants Lea to hold her baby. Lea tells the mother that her daughter is so beautiful.
It is time to leave, everyone says their goodbyes. On the bus, it is very quiet. Morgan tells Alex that she is sorry that she has been weird, for about a year, and she wishes him and Heather the best. He says it is a bit late for that, he broke up with Heather last night. She asks him if he loves her, he says yes. She says she loves him too, they hold hands and she puts her head on his shoulder. Matteo tells Audrey that he got arrested for a crime, he was arrested for pot possession, the cop was a jerk, it got physical and he bailed on his court date in the US.
There is an active warrant on him there, that is why he hasn’t been back. He is thinking of getting a lawyer and clearing things up, he asks her if she would like a visitor. Claire is offered a job in Guatemala, Audrey tells her she should take it. Claire says it is not the right time, she just started a relationship with her father. Audrey tells her that maybe here caring too much is exactly what is needed. They hug and cry.
Outside the bus, Claire hugs Morgan and Alex and tells them it is about time. She hugs Marcus and he tells her that she was far too good for them anyway. Next, it is Lea and Shaun, she tells Shaun that she doesn’t know what he is thinking. He says he is sad, this airport is the only one he has been at where there is no Cinnabun. He tells her that he hopes she is moving forward, she says she thinks she is. He says he has never hugged her, he hugs her, then he walks away. Claire gets back on the bus with Matteo.
Lea and Shaun are sitting down, she says she is still sad. She says she wants to spend the rest of her life with him, he says he wants to spend it with her too. She asks him if he will marry her, he says of course, he loves her. He says they are getting married. Shaun stands up and shouts that they are getting married. Everyone hugs, Shaun calls Claire to tell her.
We see Claire, she is in surgery and very happy.
