General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) could be pregnant with Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) baby – and if she is, this big surprise could complicate the couple’s future. There’s no word yet on whether Britt might have a bun in the oven, but it’s a story twist that would make sense if GH writers want to go there.
When Jason and Britt were on the run, there was certainly a lot of talk about children. Britt pushed for Jason’s take on her situation, so he admitted he wouldn’t want to know whether he had the Huntington’s marker if it weren’t for his kids.
Jason thought he’d rather stay in the dark if he were in Britt’s shoes, but he admitted he’d want to know about something he might pass down to his sons. Britt acknowledged that she only had to worry about herself since she’d never had any biological children of her own.
Of course, that could be the prime setup for Britt to indeed have a biological baby along with the fear that her son or daughter might have the Huntington’s marker as well.
Britt would battle concerns about passing down this horrible disease and would need Jason to learn on as she wrestled with the idea.
That’d be a lot for Britt to work through – and that would be on top of Britt’s shock over being pregnant by a man she doesn’t know all that well yet. Jason and Britt are still in the early stages of their romance, so a pregnancy curveball would be a real shock for them both.
Since Jason and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) broke up because of the kids and Sam’s desire to give them a more normal life, this would be a complicated bombshell for him, too.
It could stir up Sam’s jealousy if Jason decided to take a step back from the mob after all – perhaps by entrusting most of his duties to Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) and sort of passing the baton.
Bottom line, there’d be some interesting places to go with a baby story for Britt and Jason. Could Britt be pregnant following her steamy session with Jason on the run?
