The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Summer Newman (Hunter King) needs to tell Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) the truth about Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner). Summer can’t stand by and let the man she loves be with a manipulative monster!
Of course, that’s exactly what’s going to happen if Summer surrenders to all Tara’s demands and lets Kyle become her victim. Tara wants Summer to break Kyle’s heart – just so Tara can pick up all the shattered pieces and put them back together.
It’s clear that Tara wants to reunite with Kyle and intends to use his breakup with Summer to make him vulnerable. If Summer loves Kyle as much as she claims to, how can she allow that to happen?
It’s not fair for Kyle to keep thinking Tara is Ms. Wonderful and Mom of the Year.
Y&R fans know Tara is using her own child as a bargaining chip in all this. She’s threatening to take Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) and disappear – leaving Kyle without any kind of contact with his son at all.
That would also affect Harrison, especially since Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) is dying.
Tara’s willing to let her son grow up without a father if Summer dares to go against her – at least if she actually followed through on the threat. Naturally, Tara won’t have to if Summer does what she’s told.
That’s what Tara’s counting on, but it’s disgusting for her to use an innocent little boy as part of her games.
Summer needs to remember that she’s a Newman and the granddaughter of one of the most powerful men in existence. It’d be easy for Summer to tell Kyle the whole ugly story and then go to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) for help.
There’s no way Tara could disappear with Victor’s minions watching her every move.
If Summer came clean, Kyle could keep quiet and seek leverage that’d help him win sole custody. He could plaster on a smile around Tara and leave her none the wiser.
Tara might be blindsided by a bold custody move later – perhaps using the dirt in her past that’s been hinted at. If Tara tried to take Harrison and run, Victor’s henchmen would be waiting to stop her.
Tara thinks she’s so smart, but Summer needs to be smarter! It’s ridiculous to let Tara walk all over her when Summer comes from such a powerful family.
Kyle has the Abbotts to back him up as well, so there’s no point in letting this two-faced blonde bimbo run the show.
Tara is certainly in the wrong, but we can’t let Summer off the hook for caving in if that’s what she chooses to do.
Summer won’t be proving her love for Kyle if she lets him fall prey to such a cold and calculating woman. She’d be better off ignoring Tara’s ultimatums and trusting Kyle with the truth of the situation.
