The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, June 25, teases that Ben “Stitch” Rayburn’s (Sean Carrigan) visit will stun Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) while Summer Newman’s (Hunter King) resignation rocks Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman). Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will also realize he could use some backup, so here’s what Y&R fans can expect on Friday’s dramatic show.
First, Abby will get quite a blast from the past. She’ll be floored when “Stitch” shows up out of the blue with a present for the baby. Abby will enjoy spending time with her former flame, but the conversation will take a heavy turn.
“Stitch” will admit that Max Rayburn (Jared Breeze) – the son who caused Abby’s miscarriage due to his brain tumor – isn’t doing very well.
Max’s surgeries have been unsuccessful, so now all “Stitch” can do is watch him decline. It looks like Max’s condition will be deteriorating rather rapidly at this point.
Abby will be sorry to hear that, but “Stitch” will wrap up this conversation on a positive note. He’ll acknowledge how excited he is for Abby to be a mom and appreciate that they could catch up like this.
Meanwhile, Summer will turn in her resignation to Lauren, who’ll be completely blindsided by this decision.
There’s no denying that this creative director gig is an amazing opportunity, so it’ll be hard for Lauren to blame Summer. At the same time, Lauren may feel like Summer’s being disloyal after she put so much faith in her.
Since Lauren thought Summer was happy running JCV, this will be tough to wrap her head around. Lauren may wonder if there’s any way to change Summer’s mind, but Summer won’t budge.
That’ll leave Lauren with a mess on her hands, so she’ll go into crisis mode and try to restore stability to Fenmore’s ASAP.
After Kyle fails to convince Summer that they can make this work, he’ll opt for another strategy. Kyle will seek out Phyllis and hope she can provide some assistance.
Kyle may wonder if Summer has offered more details to her mom or relayed anything that could help him win her back.
Unfortunately, Phyllis is also in the dark on the whole truth, which is that Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) is forcing Summer to dump Kyle and leave town.
Even so, two heads are better than one when it comes to a problem like this, so Kyle and Phyllis may team up to figure out what’s really going on.
Of course, Tara will work hard to cover her tracks along with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), who also played a huge role in Summer and Kyle’s heartbreak.
Sally and Tara will be ready to celebrate their victory, but there’ll be some snags they didn’t see coming sooner or later.
