The Young and the Restless (Y&R) update for the week of July 5-9 teases that Summer Newman (Hunter King) will be all alone while Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) stabs Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) in the back. Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will also make a sneaky move for Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), so let’s talk about the hot episodes ahead.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is currently in Italy, where he’s helping Summer get settled in her new apartment. Of course, Nick is also trying to ease the pain of this transition period for Summer.
Summer just walked away from the love of her life and is no doubt missing Kyle Abbott (Michael Michael) tremendously, especially since she had to deceive him about her departure reasons.
Nick will eventually have to get back to his own life in Genoa City, so he’ll exchange his goodbyes with Summer and head home.
Summer and Nick’s farewell might happen off screen, but the point is Summer will be left with loneliness once Nick goes. The best thing Summer can do right now is enjoy her new job and try to pave a new path to success.
Other Y&R spoilers say Billy will stab Victoria in the back by making a daring offer. He doesn’t know the extent of Victoria’s merger plan, but it’ll still feel like a betrayal when he tries to go after Locke Communications Group.
However, Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) seems to be falling hard for Victoria and may put love over business for once.
Besides, Ashland considers Victoria his equal and trusts her perhaps more than anyone in Genoa City. Victoria will ignore Ashland’s warning about his expiration date, so these two could indeed become quite the powercouple.
Over with Chloe, she’ll face Michael Baldwin’s (Christian LeBlanc) questions and most likely a warning, too.
Michael may remind Chloe that he’s the DA as well as someone who doesn’t want to see Chloe’s family blow up. He might argue that Chloe needs to avoid getting caught up in anything else.
Chloe will land in more trouble anyway when Chelsea pushes for a big favor. Chelsea will need Chloe’s cell phone so she can use the recorder and get some blackmail material.
Dr. Hedges (Michael Bofshever) will be caught mentioning Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and the work he’s done for him, so his career could be on the line if anyone finds out.
Dr. Hedges could even land in prison, so he’ll reluctantly arrange a little mother-son time for Chelsea and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) in the park.
Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) won’t be happy about Chelsea using their son as a bargaining chip, but he’ll know this will make Connor happy, too.
As for Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), she’ll resolve to find whatever proof is necessary to sink Sutton Ames (Jack Landron). Look for Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) party to descend into total mayhem as some jaw-dropping shocker takes center stage.
